I think its some guys way of flirting. I tend to avoid rough housing I'm considerably strong for a girl and often times I end up hurting my boyfriend. LOL

Now if he hits hard then punch the sh*t out of him. If its just a playful bat at your arm then (if you like him) just go along with it and try and playfully hit him back.
