+1 yI don't mind it. It's nice to be fit for health reasons but most people do it purely for how it looks. Not dating someone just because they're not completely toned seems a bit shallow to me, especially if you like them as a person and in all other regards. Not only that, working out doesn't necessarily make someone more attractive. Their body may look nice, but it doesn't change the way their faces look nor their personality. Some guys are also naturally lean and don't need to work out to stay that way. A guy working out is a nice bonus, but it's not everything to me.

Asker+1 yWorking out always makes someone more attractive.

I don't agree that it always makes someone more attractive. I find bodybuilder men very unattractive
Asker+1 yIm not talking about body builders. People who never did a pushup in their lives typically think anything associated with working out = bodybuilder/steroid look. Im talking about athletic men.

+1 y"Guys who work out" is a very broad spectrum. There are obese men, who work out and then there's skinny guys that do as well.
I think you're referring to guys that are physically fit and muscular.
To answer your question, yes - I would date a skinny bloke and I am. We've been together for nearly 3 years and he's only started properly working out a few months ago. Did I pressure him? Nope, entirety his choice. His skinniness did not affect my attraction to him in any bad way. :P
I can date a skinny dude and a fit dude, but not an obese one.10 Reply
+1 yAs long as you're healthy it shouldn't matter. Girls workout to feel good about themselves, and if a guy doesn't work out that's his choice. Often times guys that dedicate their lives to working out and bulking aren't the best to date, that's just a generalization from person experience. Girls aren't always shallow.

Asker+1 yso you think a skinny guy is just as attractive as a fit guy who works out?
- +1 y
Ya! Body doesn't matter.
Asker+1 ystraight lie
I wouldn't say a guy has to work out, but he better have something else to offer (ie good looking and tall or very rich) or he won't be attracting any decent women.

Asker+1 yexactly.
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI wouldn't approach "beautiful women who workout" if they were the last women on earth. Not my type. Six-packs on a woman make me cringe.

Opinion Owner+1 yThey tend to have bad attitudes from what I've seen, anyways.
Asker+1 yIm not talking about bodybuilding women, but atheltic women, toned. Like a soccer or volleyball player.
Opinion Owner+1 yThat's who I'm talking about.
Opinion Owner+1 yI like curves. Low body-fat is not a look that I find appealing in women.
Opinion Owner+1 yAnd any woman who refuses to date a guy because he doesn't work out is just as shallow as a man who refuses to date a woman for not looking like a supermodel.
Asker+1 yYou never seen volleyball players? Their curvy as hell.
Opinion Owner+1 yThe only ones I've seen are skinny and muscular. That ain't curvy to me. Curvy is voluptuous. Large chest and big hips. Women who work out religiously aren't going to have that.
Asker+1 yYour trippin dude. you probably just mad because your fat or something, but the soccer players and volleyball players i see are thick as hell.

+1 yI really don't care. But I'd prefer my guy to stay healthy because I care about him :) That doesn't necessarily mean that I want him to have a sixpack and biceps bigger than my thighs :P
What is a turn-off though is a guy (or girl) who only works out for their looks.213 Reply
Asker+1 yworking out is never a turnoff. Being fat is a turnoff.
- +1 y
Then we disagree :) I've been in love with skinny guys, chubby guys and athletic guys and I wouldn't want them any other way. Attractiveness lies in the eyes of the beholder ;)
Asker+1 yIts probably because your easy. You've been "in love" with all these guys. Irregardless, chubbiness is not attractive.
- +1 y
If I'm "easy" for letting love into my life and not being shallow I'm totally easy :)
Asker+1 yMore like getting a cheap sense of self-validation from being in a relationship in order to blanket your low self-esteem.
- +1 y
I don't have low self-esteem, I actually feel very good and love my life, but thanks for caring :)
Asker+1 yif you "loved" all these guys, the how much is your "love" even worth? More like infatuation. Empty.
- +1 y
Actually I said "in love" and not "love". Check up synonyms for "in love". You might learn something new, for exampe that infatuation, a crush and in love can mean the same thing :) If it's easier for you to understand the word "crush" that's what I meant. Actually I've only truly loved one person in my life, and he's called my beautiful and caring boyfriend :)
- +1 y
Either way it's attraction, and that's what your question is about, right?
Asker+1 yYes it is what the question is about. Anyhow, a fit guy will always pull more chicks than your bf. And once again, if the only person you've ever loved in your life is your bf and not your parents, friends, family, then i really have no idea what to say to you.
- +1 y
I don't remember saying that my boyfriend isn't fit? But either way he's the most perfect guy to me so I don't care :) And why would I want my boyfriend to have several chicks running after him? lol
I meant the only loveinterest I've really loved if that makes it easier for you to understand, you're not very good at reading between the lines :)
Asker+1 yNo, its just that im not good at reading vague sentences. But i said several times that your bf isn't fit. he's probably one of those niggas that try and act white.
- +1 y
You never answered my second question. Don't bother anyway because I don't have time for racists
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yif you don't work out then why chase after women who do? it's just hypocritical and self entitled to constantly try for girls above your league. I mean we all see the appeal of someone with a nice fit body, however if you yourself don't even want to put forth the effort to attain one, then why not go for a woman with the female equivalent of a body like yours? so if you are out of shape then date a girl who is. if you are skinny and frail then why not find a girl who isn't toned and is frail?

Asker+1 yThats what i be telling these guys. But these girls seem to always be going for these skinny or chubby dudes. Even if the female is above the guys league. I think women do this because their insecure and want a guy who doesn't look as good so they can feel better. They dont have the self esteem to date a guy who works out.
I like a guy who is naturally fit and has muscles by nature without working out. A guy who does work out is probably a metrosexual and I dont lke metrosexuales.

Asker+1 yNo such thing as "naturally" fit.
Asker+1 ywe workout, its not natural.
Asker+1 yTrust me, he is not fit. He may be fit and impressive to you because youve never been a athlete before and don't know what "fit" is. He's not fit, quit trying to blow that nigga up.
Asker+1 yyou couldnt get a guy who does workout to look your way.
- +1 y
i suppose we all have preferences. you like to workout and be fit even more and you like girls who also workout. i dont workout and i dont care if a guy does it or doesnt. i dont like narcissists, and in my experience the majority of guys who do it are. i would feel like i'm in a relationship with that guy a saw on YouTube that is obsessed with making his poor wife to be fit and i think he would put to much pressure to everybody around him to eat healthy and to work out. i would be like please, let me eat and have a little bit of fat. those may be prejudices, but guys like that in general dont attract me because the first thing i think is that theyre narcissists
Asker+1 ySo guys who workout are narcissist? Thats the best you got?
+1 ykind of the same way I feel about girls who don't wear makeup: some can pull it off and still look good, but the vast majority benefit greatly from it. :-)
20 ReplyIts proven working out makes you look good in some way or the other.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yIf he's always the gym then no, but if he goes now and then then yes cause i love a guy who is fit. Id rather dates guys who are athletic and fit rather than a bit chubby or average guys.

Asker+1 ywhats "always in the gym"?
Opinion Owner+1 yAs in if he goes pratically all the time not doung anything else apart from working out
Asker+1 yI rather be in the gym than always sitting on my ass watching netflix.
+1 yI prefer either or skinny or fit or a little cubby. Tbh I'm not attracted to fat dudes lol.

Good thing your opinion means shit to me. Lmfao!
I have no business... motherfucker, get with reality and stop sucking down the protein drinks. Shits fucked up your brain. Lol00 ReplyCan't be with someone that's always at the gym.

Asker+1 yIm talking about fit people. Why does everybody feel insecure all of the sudden anytime people talk about fitness? Like people want to take a cheap jab and be like "oh i can't be with someone whos ALWAYS in the gym" as if its a choice of either you don't workout at all, or your ALWAYS in the gym, like there is no middle. Dont be mad because people who go to the gym look better, just join us and quit hatin'. Shit.
+1 yI don't mind as long as he's healthy. :>
