It is one of the most ridiculous shit I've seen girls prioritize and obsess about. There’s not a whole lot that we can do to change how far apart our thighs are from one another because it has to do with bone structure.
Not everyone who has that space between their thighs is unhealthily thin, although it is often seen on very lean individuals.

It has to do with the structure of your pelvic bone. Most girls have pelvic bones that are pointed. But some girls have less pointed and more rounded pelvic bones, thus creating a separator between the legs.

The width of your hips plays another major part as to why thigh gaps may be impossible for many girls to have. Females with widely set hipbones have thigh gaps because their wide hips keep their legs apart.
Lastly, the adductor muscles, the muscles in your inner thigh, will always be there. Since this muscle is fairly large, it makes your thighs touch.

The other day during class I was walking toward my desk & I was wearing jeans so one of my best friends noticed my thigh gap & I hear her exclaim, "You have a thigh gap?" to which I replied, "Umm yeah, apparently I do" & She was like, "I'm so jealous of you!!"
I love her but that was one of the stupidest things I've heard considering she is one of the most physically beautiful people I know. I'd love to look like her & there she is jealous of a space between my legs? Wow.

I don't think guys give a fuck about it, tbh.

i naturally have one but i do not like, it makes you look as if you have some sort of problem or something. i'm under 18 too and so, i worked on it and my thighs touch, but when you see my calves, there's still a gap... which i find annoying. but i wouldn't worry about it, or getting yourself one; it's not worth wasting your energy for and just love the way you are.

Most guys don't care about thigh gaps. This is something women invented all on their own in order to feel superior to other women that aren't stick thin. Then women run around claiming men like thigh gaps and create greater insecurity for other women. The fact is that this is just one of the many ways women bring more unnecessary drama into their lives, and mistakenly think guys are being too picky. Most guys had never even heard of a thigh gap until just a few years ago so clearly they aren't important to most guys. Of the few guys that do have an opinion about thigh gaps, just as many guys dislike them as there are that like them.

I thigh gap is the space between a girls thighs when she is standing with a normal posture. Thigh gaps CAN be good, but most thigh gaps are the product of girls starving themselves until they are unhealthily thin, and didn't even have a natural thigh gal before that.

It's where your thighs don't touch when you stand perfectly upright. People think its a result of being skinny but its actually a result of having a specific bone structure (combination of naturally wide hips plus very narrow bones). Personally I'm not a fan.

Not especially. It usually occurs when girls starve themselves so they lose muscle tissue in their legs. I guess it makes a girl's hips look wider, which is more desirable for pregnancy.
