It varies from person to person. I'm one of those people who believe every shape is beautiful; however, if it came to myself, I would not want a pear shaped body. I personally prefer more proportionately slim and toned bodies. It's more visually appealing to be in general however again, it varies from person to person. Some people look better with a more curvaceous figure and others don't.

it is in my opinion the ideal body shape for women. my wife and i have been married for almost 8 years now and i have never pined for another woman... she is 5'4'' tall, her measurements are 32 22 36, a "pear shape" buying clothes for her can be difficult from time to time. whenever i ask her, she says she thinks she's average at best. i disagree, i believe a realistic pear shaped woman should be the standard for the media to see as what is "attractive". maybe then it wouldn't be so hard for women to find clothing that fits who they are.
