Step 1. Have great genetics.
Step 2. Lose as much fat as possible.
If step 1 is impossible for you, get a corset or remove some ribs (both are terrible for your health, with the latter being slightly worse)
And no, there's no specific exercises that will give you trim waist. When you lose fat, you lose it proportionally all over the body. When you gain muscle in a specific area of the body, you gain muscle, but it won't make your waist magically tiny. Alternately you can try to make your boobs and/or hips bigger - a tiny waist is not about its own size, it's about how it compares to what's above and below it.
Unless you wear a corset for 12 hours a day, your shape is just your shape. If you are thin, healthy and workout and your waist doesn't look like that it's because your bone structure isn't naturally that way. You'd have to manipulate your shape some and actually wear a corset (which is dangerous). However, it's more then just having a thin waist. If you're not happy with yourself, a thin waist won't fix that.
Work them obliques, do cardio, lift, count them macros. Mostly if you want to be cut you have to not eat sugar at all only in fruit but watch how much you consume. Try that for a 3 weeks should hep if you are already in shape. Also genetics do play a part.
Core training. So ab exercises, obliques, lower back and muscles around your hip and upper legs.
Exercises for abs are Situps, crunches, leg raises and adding twists and crossovers will work your side and oblique area.
I think Russian twists are good with maybe a medicine ball. Do planks and even do combo exercises like renegade and hanging leg raises from a bar with twists. Lots of core training as a focus with your full body workout. Also have a good diet. Hope this helps.
Said this for like the millionth time... Everyone has abs like those you just need to burn off the fat covering it. Therefore cardio is your best option. Most cardio exercises e. g. running and cycling requires your core to stabilize your upper body so you are basically hitting two birds with one stone. Just with running swing your arms front and back instead of cross-body otherwise you are relieving the work on your abs and obliques.
True enough, but not every girl has a tiny, defined waist under the fat. Sure, she can get a flat stomach by burning off the fat and gaining some muscle tone, but if she's not a natural hourglass, nothing short of surgery and/or corsets will make her so. Sad but true.
@CatterPillow Cardio increases your lung capacity thus increasing the size of your ribcage. As your abs get worked, your core gets tighter and thus smaller. Both of these contributes to a natural hourglass curvature. The difference won't be huge but will be noticeable. I personally believe all girls can have curves if they work on it, just like no such thing as fat genes. I remember back in high school every serious female runner on the track team had curves.
I'm not talking about "fat genes", it's simply about bone structure. I've been swimming and singing for most of my life, and my waist is still about 5 inches smaller than my chest - not nearly enough to classify me as an hourglass. And at 5'9", 125lbs I don't believe you can say it's simply fat hiding my trim little waist.
Almost every woman has a waist that's "somewhat" narrower than her hips and shoulders, that alone doesn't constitute an hourglass. We're talking hourglass if the waist is at least 9 inches narrower than the hips and chest, or if the hip to waist ratio is 0.7 or lower, depending on who you ask. It's possible to be insanely thin and not an hourglass, like this beautiful lady here:

Is her waist narrower than her shoulders? Yes. Is the waist comparably trim to the girl the OP set as her benchmark? No, and she'll probably never achieve that without invasive measures such as corsets or surgery.
* sorry for that, my Xper rating doesn't allow me to post links yet

That's the body of either a runner or a swimmer if not both. We're talking a lot of core strengthening exercises or possibly yoga or Pilates, along with an extremely high level of cardio. I'm talking 30 plus miles a week running, etc. That would take dedication and study as well as the work. A short cut would be to hire a personal trainer that could see your goals, that would cut out the study part. Or you could talk to a gym coach about joining the track team, and go for distance running.
That'll require a combo of very strict diet (not starvation, but healthy eating with no junk), SERIOUS working out (not just cardio but building muscle through full body weight work) and fortunate genetics (nothing you can do here). Also, not sure where you got the pic but maybe photoshop! lol! It's a VERY impressive waist/hip/tummy/legs shot!
Thanks for most helpful!
From the shape she did forest training but it's dangerous to do bc you're re-arranging your organs where they aren't really supposed to be.
workout?
eat well?
waist train if that's how u roll?
all typical things really.
@browny-sy i know man ๐
@browny-sy sarcasm.
Develop your core muscles. Abs, lower and middle back. The tight muscles will give you that look
I don't see why you would, it's really not attractive, lol.
@Josht11 The only thing that looks sexy to me about that is that she's wearing pretty much underwear.
The waist is meh
And the waist is one of my favorite parts on the female body, so that's disappointing
@Josht11 Your dreams are my nightmare :D
@Josht11 Fuck no, I love women who look like women
@Josht11 She should at least have a waist like Kate Upton

Although I personally prefer something like this

@Josht11 Kate Upton is quite curvy enough, that's the whole point, she actually has a nice-looking waist and nice thighs
For me, chubby is good and fat is bad, it's the delicate balance
@Josht11 "too skinny to go out with a girl who's chubby"
Dafuq does that even mean, LOL
I don't like unhealthy looking girls either, that's why I'm not attracted to girls who look stick thin. If you look at the Asker's image, and you look at those thighs, that girl is stick thin.
@Josht11 Weirdest standards ever. My only standard in terms of appearance is that I have to be attracted to them.
@Josht11 because you're attracted to one thing and he's attracted to another thing... everyone can't love skinny chicks, it's not enough of them lol.
@Josht11 It really depends on your definition of "healthy" then.
@Josht11 She looks way too thin >.>
Tie a clove hitch around your waist and tie the end to your bedpost. Then jump out the window.
Exercise + diet + luck (aka genetics).
Workout hard and eat right :-)
Have the genetics for it.
work out a lot, don't eat much
By excersie and diet control.
Starvation.
