How do I tell my friends/family that I really want to get my mole removed?

I've been thinking of getting my mole removed for years now. I feel so insecure about it. I used to have bangs just to cover it up. I never ever talked about my mole and tried avoiding it whenever someone tried bringing it up. Today I finally went to a plastic surgeon and I'm so ready to go through the procedure. How do I bring it up to my family, friends, and boyfriend? Im open about a lot of things but with this I feel embarrassed to tell them how I feel about it.

Why do you have to tell your friends about you mole surgery? xD It's between you and your mole. Remove it and when they ask about it tell them you removed it.
