Why is it so hard o believe something when it's in front of your face?

For somethings it's hard to change the way we think of things. It might stun you, but why is it still sometimes almost impossible to grasp?

hey there, this may be an oddball concept but here goes, the human physical and body are one unity each effected by the other. pure emotional trauma can cause serious physical effects. i once watched a theory of the human brain is designed to forget pain, purely from a survival point of view. when we are hurt from an accident, we remember the incident, hopefully learn the lesson to prevent again but forget the pain we felt. perfect example for women is childbirth. I've thought take this to emotional pain, things we do or how we act that are lets say bad or negative for us but we continue to do them. my example to give is experiencing an abusive partner, the outrages i experienced were like say pain but then i would move on and forgive them knowing how crazy it was but i couldnt recall the pain caused at the time because we are designed to forget. getting drunk is the same process we are designed to remember the good in an evolutionary sense, unfortunately there are many many things and people out there in our current times that will work and mould and challenge this very natural ability in us that still for me is as primitive as when it first evolved. now lol this i have, how the f.. k to manage this is the most amazing feat for man and woman kind, i kinda think it could be a massive shift for us all to conquer and utilise this universe given ability because its purpose? to protect, promote and aid life ultimately in its purest form, we are the problem is learning how to blend with it, id love to hear any responses to this virgin expression hopefully to aid the learning xx
