You need something more like vitamin e. Vitamin c is also good for lightening darker tissue. I have a 3 inch surgical scar that was deep purple for years. I used these scar fading patches made by Neosporin and it is now the color of my very pale skin.
Some people swear by a product called bio-oil but I had a terrible reaction to it when I tried it.

Moisturisers do help. You can buy special ones that help more. Things like Bio Oil or Palmers cocoa butter can help. It takes a long time but you have to be consistent.

Getting a scar to fade is expensive and requires special crap. I've had a scar on my knee from when I was 7. It's still visible because I haven't used the proper stuff on it.

i dont know about moisturized but almond oil does help with scars as it unlike most oils can penetrate the deepest level of skin where scar tissue is made.

I'm not sure if that will have any effect tbh. Most scars will fade eventually, but it takes a long time, potentially years. There's some oils and creams you can get to specifically treat scars and speed up the process though.

Scars will (mostly) fade on their own and turn paler with time, they won't completely dissappear though. And i don't think there's much that can be done to speed up the progress, except trying not to pick on the wound etc

Scars need something more, like things that target scars, you can make a coffee scrub (look up the ingredients) and if you rub it on the targeted areas often you should see a difference.

there are lotions specifically formulated to fade scars~ bio-oil is one, and i'm sure there are others. ask a pharmacist if you're not sure.

I heard olive oil is good for scars.
That's a traditional belief though, I am not sure since I haven't tried it for scars.

Buy things with vitamin E oil, and I would recommend cicatrix cream or cicatrix treatment methods. the later of the 3 is extremely extremely expensive though

Scars fade anyway but there are topicals that will speed the process/make it more effective based on things like the vitamins they contain and whether they stimulate collagen production. Regular moisturizers don't do this.

Some will stay for 40 years , others ill fade in 5-10 years. A moisturizer? Is it better than your shower?
