Riding bike to, and from work at 20?

Hey so I'm 20, and I don't have a car yet. If I want one I'll have to get it myself. I don't get help from my "mommy and daddy". Would it be embarrassing if I rode a bike to work? What would you think if you saw somone riding a bike to work? I don't think it's bad, because it's transportation. Also it can help shed some pounds. I mean it is exercise and so I'd benefit physically.

A lot of people ride bikes. And even if not, who cares? How is it embarrassing? The only question is how far work is from where you live

Well you know some people are worldly and I just thought that people would look down at me because I don't have s car yet. Although there is plenty of others who don't so now that I think about it, it really doesn't seem to be a big deal. I tend to worry about others perceptions sometimes way more than I need to at times. I live like give or take 24 minutes away from work.

They don't even know you nor probably even acknowledge your existence beyond not trying to hit you and end up as a hood ornament. I wouldn't recommend it if you have to wear like a suit or dress and work in a business office. You'll probably be sweaty. Then again, what other alternative do you really have?

Yes that's true. I totally don't work in an office, and I don't wear skirts to work. So it wouldn't be an issue. That's true, also exactly I really don't have any other alternatives. I would have used the transpo bus, but I live kinda in the country like in the middle of nowhere.

Here the government is even promoting going to work by bike to solve the traffic jams in rush hours.

I wouldn't care and wouldn't be embarrassed. Its eco- friendly and you get a workout.

I used to walk ride my bike to work and no one ever said anything to me about it.

We own a car, and I still rode my bike to and from. work. it was healthy and pleasant. No big deal.
