Whats it like to have glasses?

Question

I think i need glasses. I need to see my optometrist. 

Last time i went i was told ill need them later just not right then and the time before that they offered me to either get glasses then or to not. My choice. (I chose not cause mum was broke)

Right now the wall in the classroom is blurry. Its about 3 metres away from me. 
The only words i can read are Juror and then the writing below it is all mushed together and unreadable from where Im sitting. 

So there's really no question whether I need glasses or not, i just want to know what its like to have them.

Honestly, its not bad at all. I've had glasses since I was 5 (I'm 20 now), and these days I forget I'm even wearing them. They're just a part of me like anything else. Be prepared to be like 'oh! I can see!' when you first get them, and just be a little more wary of playing sports or anything where they might get knocked off/broken.
But honestly, I love my glasses, and if you've ever worn sunglasses before, it's just like that, except the lenses are a different colour. You can look really badass/cute with the right pair of glasses, and they never detract from how you look. In fact, they could make you look smarter! :P

Don't be afraid of getting glasses. They're great. And soon you'll forget you even wear them :)

I never liked wearing my glasses. My eyes and nose will hurt when I put them on - it also happens when wearing sunglasses. But other than the pain, the way you see the world when you put your glasses on for the first time, is strange. But your eyes will adapt to it, and your brain sort of ignores it, just like it does with your nose :P
Luckily my eyes got better, and I don't wear my glasses anymore. Otherwise, I would wear contacts. But it's just what you prefer.

A pain in the butt. You'll forget them, smudge them, possibly break them. Just take care of them and put them in the same place every night so you don't forget them. Also, get cleaner for them, or just alcohol wipes.

Whats it like to have glasses? It is exactly like not having glasses but the opposite! Take my word for it, needing glasses is annoying. Just my opinion

It can be annoying at times, like when you forget to take them off before napping or always wiping finger prints off. Personally I like contacts better. I put them in and forget about them for a week (I have ones meant to stay in for a week).
If money is an issue look at zenni. com after your exam. They offer cheaper option

Over all it's nice to be able to see the leaves on trees and the little writing on signs.

Have you ever worn sunglasses? Imagine wearing sunglasses almost every waking minute of your life just without the tint. You get used to that feeling after awhile and then you won't even notice you're wearing glasses anymore. I've been wearing glasses since I was 2.

They aren't so bad once you get used to them. I wore them for years and then I got contacts. Contacts are much better. They don't get all smudged or slide down your nose and they are a lot clearer to see out of. They cost about the same as glasses. You can ask your optometrist for a free trial pair before you decide.

It's awesome to have glasses (: I have glasses and contacts and i love them, they make things so much clearer and you're not squinting all the time trying to read a road sign or what something on the board says, really makes things nicer/easier (:

I've worn glasses since i was 6 lol so I dont know what its like not needing them. I have Optical Nerve damage so I'll be wearing them for the rest of my life but im fine with it, my glasses are part of who i am.

Well, I wear sunglasses sometimes and they kinda put pressure on my nose that I don't like. But they look super cute! So I think when you are used to glasses, you'll like them :)

I use glasses mainly for reading or to see medications so my advice if you need them please try to get them. I know it can be rough money wise but we if you need them get them. Seriously, girls look cute who wear glasses.

I hate my glasses so much that I never wear them. I do sports and I also take martial arts and they get in the way of everything. Also, when I'm not doing sports I feel like they are just extra luggage even though my eyesight is very weak. I would suggest investing into contacts if you do sports or if you don't like the idea of having something on your face all the time.

However, I do know a lot of people who are just fine with glasses, at the end of the day it's your personal opinion.

They aren't anoying or anything, you just have to get used to wearing them and not forget and leave them anywere, and honestly i think girls with glasses look cute (sorry if your not a girl, im new to the site and dont quite know how it works yet)
