How do I lose weight?

I'm 5'4 and 118 pounds, how do I lose about 10 pounds? I've only got nine months to lose this weight.

Easymode!! Fat burning exercise. And i mean really grind it out. Mountain climber, crescent lunges, burpees, pull-ups, push ups. Jumping jacks, high knees, high kicks, jump rope, barbell drop and raise.

Those are just some. But do these everyday, every 10min of each hour for 8 hrs. And you can lose way above 10 pounds. Especially before 9 months.

There's also food. Eat blueberry and bananas. They eat fat. Throw in cabbage. It has the lowest calories around town. And beast mode engaged mate.

I have school though, I don't think I can manage this for 8 hours and still make it to class. I mean like I don't mind doing it a few times a day but I don't know if I have enough time for 8 hours. How affective would about 3-4 hours be?

Haha I understand, 8 is quite demanding lol. 3 -4 hours is also quite effective. If you can squeeze in that much, that's rewarding also. It's mostly all based on what calories you ingest that anyway. If you don't consume a ton, 8 hrs isn't needed anyway:)

I guess I eat anywhere from 99 to 600 calories a day. On weekends though my family goes out to eat so I end up consuming about 1,000 calories also weekends are my cheat days lol (Saturday and Sunday)

Yeah, that's not bad at all! I think you'll lose pretty fast. And we all have those cheat days haha, unless you're guru monk disciplined lol.

With 9 months, 10 lbs is easy mode

Keep at a caloric deficit, and keep your foods simple... chicken, rice, eggs etc

Also 2 days a week really isn't going to get you far unless you really push yourself

If your exercising and the thought of "this is pretty easy" goes through your head, chances are you and aren't pushing yourself hard enough

What works for me is lots of lean vegetarian protein (eggs, tofu; quorn is super yummy (but a bit expensive)) dairy and lots of raw veg. Try to lay off the gluten and desserts, especially in winter (not always easy, I know!). 9 months is a while, I'm sure you can do it if you really want it!

Oh I nearly forgot - are you taking a multivitamin (gotta stay healthy, plus deficiencies can cause weird cravings) and fish oil (good for your skin and your mood)?

I'm a vegetarian and most people have tried to get me to take vitamins. I just can't afford it right now.

I'm a senior getting ready for college. Im only 18, I can't really get out let along I don't have any friends and my boyfriend lives very far away.

Sorry, I was typing, and I missed that. Yeah, I'm vegetarian too (except for the fish oil, anyway!). Yeah, they're a bit exy aren't they. This might sound a bit odd, but could you ask your mum to buy you some? I bet she would be glad to do it - mums really want their kids to be healthy, I bet she'd be happy to

I've asked and she doesn't agree with it. Southerners are very hardcore when it comes to meat. She believes if I wanted to be healthy I'd eat meat but tbh unless you're killing and skinning the cow yourself it's not going to be healthy because of all the pills and non healthy diets they grow the cows on.

Oh right, I see. Yeah, I have some relatives a bit like that. When I was your age I used to nick vitamins from the supermarket, but now everything's electronic you'd get caught wouldn't you! Er - weird birthday-gift request from a boyfriend? If you can afford enough veggies and eggs (every vitamin except vitamin C!) you'll be healthy enough anyway, I imagine. Good luck with everything!

You are not heavy for your height. Instead of focussing on weight loss, have your muscle/fat ratio measured and go for a healthy fat loss and keep muscle content or even replace fat by muscle. You will look more slim and toned and still weigh the same or even heavier. I am 5'5" and 134 lbs.

9 months? thats like forever. but you are at a decent weight, don't go too far down. its not just about dropping pounds. If you tone your body, it may weigh more with muscle, but will look much better than if you are a skeleton.

My weight isn't that good. It's just genetics as to why I'm at a "healthy" weight. I look bigger than I am because I'm a big chubby and not toned. I just want to lose a few pounds. Toning is also something in after but I still want to lose weight to help with losing my body fat percentage

Find our how mamy calories you need a day and eat under your amount by 500 calories.

If you follow it, it will take 10 weeks ro lose 10 pounds. It will go faster if you exercise.

I usually eat two meals a day, the calories very. I eat a small breakfast upper and I eat a typical dinner, I try not to eat anything too fattening. What exercises do I do? I usually run twice a week and do 60 jumping jack everyday and 20 crunches.

Try running a little more, longer or faster. You could try weight lifting too.

For your meals maybe spread it out a little. Eat a snack earlier or something so you can have a smaller dinner maybe

I'm on a budget though, what are cheap healthy foods you'd recommend?

You can get packaged stuff like nuts and eggs, fresh meat is kinda expensive maybe see if they have frozen stuff.

Canned chicken and canned tuna are good but I don't like tuna much so I don't eat it lol

I think your at a good to ideal weight for your height. If you want to get lean I'd say hit the jim. Lift weights. You may even go up a few pounds but it will be muscle and you may look leaner. I think that's what you want not losing weight

I've been hospitalized once so that's not something I really have the money for again. Bills are expensive

118 is quiet chubby in my case. Genetics is why I'm like this but nothing about my body is toned and or thin. I look a lot bigger than the weight I actually am.

I'm just joking, but you have a good size. My girl is 135lbs and slim, so I really don't understand why you want to lose 10 pounds
