Did my earbuds shock me?

I was wearing a pair of earbuds my Mom randomly found around the house and when I put them on they felt cold. (I don't think that really has anything to do with this...) So I had these earbuds on for about an hour and took them off and put them back on for another hour and I'm not gonna lie I did have them on nearly max volume. (Which could mean something?) So my point is, when I took them off my right side of my head felt numb and tingly... Still feels funny right now. (I took them off like 15 minutes ago) Note: I wear earbuds like everyday/all time, but today I had a old/new pair

Yes earbuds can do that, because it still conducts electricity. All it is is static. Loudness is not the issue. It may have to do with the type you put in your ear. I always make sure to use the JVC Gummy earphones with the in-ear rubber caps, to place in my ears. Not the regular ones without the rubber and it just sits on your ear. That one makes my ears hurt because it's not my size. If your room or the place your at is dry, it can build up electricity and shock you afterwards.

It messed with your eardrum nerves when you played the music so loud. So yeah, they did shocked you. I experienced it before and it took 2 months for my left ear to completely heal. I though that I had lost my hearing ability in my left ear and it hurt so much when I lied on my left side.

You probably destroyed something in your ears, because max volume is pretty much never an acceptable level on any headphones/earbuds.
