i was at basketball today and jammed my finger. i do it often and it doesn't bother me but within five mins it was swollen and faint bruising. it keeps getting more swollen and the pain is crazy. (pics are in order of time) should i be concerned

You could go into a doc and have it xrayed-the only thing they will do though is the same thing you can do at home. You can buy a finger splint and apply or you can tape one finger to the other. keep it splinted for 6 weeks. For pain take ibuprofen.
You could also use ice packs to reduce the pain.
Hang in there-young people like yourself heal quickly.
Thanks for the MHO!
Happens all the time when i punch my boyfriend so no it's not a problem it'll be gone in a few days.
Put ice on it. If the pain remains, go to a doctor to get an X-ray.
put ice on it. give it time for the swelling to reduce. i'd also make a splint or tape it to your other finger just in case there is a small break or fracture.
It shouldn't be anything too serious. Advice would be to keep it far from your body (extended, elevated, and far), and to ice it to reduce the swelling.

Tape your finger.

If you have some vinager, put some on a rag or face towel and wrap your finger with it. That will take the swelling out.
Putting ice on it will help keep swelling down. I would recommend getting a x-ray on your whole hand and fingers.
Looks dislocated should probably get it checked
