I have this medium dark purple mark inside my mouth, on the inside of my cheek, should I be worried? Could it be oral cancer?

usually cancerous cells in the mouth will create reddish or whitish patches rather than purple. but obviously not all cancers are the same. purplish marks tend to be more associated with a cheek bite causing a laceration. and sort of like when you have a purplish mark on your skin it's a place where the skin was damaged and blood has gone to the area (and under tissue can appear purple)

i would not presume you have cancer but if the mark doesn't go away after a week or so i'd go to a dentist
