What's the ideal height for a male?

Hey!

Just asking, I myself just turned 17 and I am 5'10.75" (179.5) but my predicted height is 6'1" (1,85) :)

I've always thought that around 6' is ideal for physically since you don't have to worry about health problems in the future and it's well abovie average height and average is usually between 5'7"-5'9" in most countries.

What do you think? And how tall are you?

I'm not sure an "ideal height" really exists-- people come in a lot of different shapes and sizes, and there's nothing wrong with that!
Personally I'd prefer to be a little shorter, myself. I'm about 5'10 which is all fun and games until I have to ride on an airplane or squeeze into a tiny desk for a lecture.

I'm 5'3, turned 17 in March. I'm pretty short, but I don't think much about someone's height. If I had to choose, tall people would be preferred. After all, it's hard to find someone, especially a male, shorter than me these days. :p

I think +5'6 is ideal since most girls are shorter than 5'7 and most guys are about 5'9

I can understand that there's no problem meeting all guys but your ideal was giant guys. They might say they're 1,90 but sadly many people are lying about their height by 5 cm or so :)

& the average internet spits out depends on the age range you're looking for. Since we're all getting taller over here, average height is increasing. Especially when I look at guys my age & a couple years younger a LOT of them are a sh*tload taller than me.
& I know when someone is lying. My brother is 1,95m & I reach a little below his shoulders. So when someone tries to tell me they're 1,90m, but I reach their chin, I know they're lying, because 1,90m = I reach their shoulders. :3

But this might also be related to where I live, exactly- I live very close to the Netherlands (40km to the border) which are, in average, the tallest people all over the planet, so there's a lot of their blood mixed in where I live, meaning taller people. & thanks so some other blood in the eastern parts of Germany, they're all a bit smaller over there on average. :3
When I walk through my home town I feel average. When I walk through Berlin I feel like a giant, compared to women. xD

Nope, 6'2" is 187.96 cm to be exact and the average is 1,80 for male in your generation.
In NL the average is measured at 1,83.

The average male in the world is between 168-175 cm.

But that's the thing- not the region where I'm from. I'm average for a woman over here, & most guys over here are at least 1,80m. Sure, there are some smaller than that, but only a few in between.
Your mistake is that you're looking at Germany's overall average which varies quite a lot depending on where exactly you are. The people in Bavaria or in eastern Germany are a lot smaller in average than the people in the west, & the tallest are in the north-western part of Germany. Which is exactly where I live.
So wanting a guy between 1,90m & 2m isn't unlikely here at all, I'd say roughly 20%-30% of the men my age running around where I live fulfil that requirement. Just like at least one third of the women my age running around are taller than me (which is why I don't consider myself 'tall'. Not small, either, but certainly not 'tall').
