Do men prefer unattractive women with hot bodies or beautiful women with average bodies?

So, I've been doing a lot of "research" lately, and the general consensus, according to guys on reddit and other sources, seems to be that most men see chubbier women or overweight women as the plague, even if they have beautiful faces. I mean, I am not morbidly obese, I just have a bit of flab, which I am desperately trying to lose, but it is taking so damn long and sometimes I just wish I could disappear. I mean, I am short af, so the odds are already stacked against me, and I can't eat more than 1300 fucking calories a day or else I turn into a piggy. I mean, the hell is that? All I can eat is a slice of bread and a carrot before I reach my caloric limit, and I still feel famished even after I eat. I am also anemic/iron deficient, whoopee, so that makes it all the more easier for me. I have been using my rowing machine 4-5 times a week for 30 minutes doing 30 strokes or so per minute, but I swear I've lost 3 pounds in the past month. Ugh, it is so aggravating. Essentially, the only way for me to lose weight is to crash diet, which I did when I was 15, and also lost most of the hair on my head as a result of "not getting proper nutrition." Bullshit. i was 115 pounds, but i still somehow managed to have fat legs. I don't get it. I am now 140 pounds and 19. I don't want to go bald, but I don't want to be fat either. How the hell do I see some thin girls with super thick hair? How?

So I want to know, are guys really that repulsed by chubby girls, even if they are, let's say "gorgeous," according to many strangers that see their faces before they see the rest of them? I also have tiny boobs, so I am pretty much a 0 on the hotness metre. P. S. and no, I am not a fat fuck, I don't eat donuts all day and hamburgers. I only eat fish, spinach, lettuce, chicken. I guess I need to eliminate rice from my diet. damn thing, three grains of rice has about 200 calories, as I so mortifyingly discovered after checking the label.

I would say guys interested in only sex would be more interested in bodies, guys interested in a relationship are interested in women that take care of themselves regardless of body shape. Like I've seen some women that people wouldn't consider slim but can clean up and look fierce or cute depending on the situation. That's way more attractive than a skinny girl that looks disheveled.

I'm kind of a health nut so take whatever i write below this for what its worth to you.

Calorie counting is not very effective when you understand the bio-availability of calories and type of calories you eat. Like 100 calories of corn is not always digested as shown in the toilet the next day, but 100 calories of a corn tortilla are much easier for your body to digest and use for fuel or store as fat for later use.

Exercise a minimum of 1-2 times a week for 30 minutes (running is best for energy expenditure, weights will help with posture and strength). Even if you have to half ass it at least try to get into the habit.

Ultimately just be happy, healthy, and don't starve yourself. Diets are temporary but healthy eating habits and healthy food choices can be repeated indefinitely for every meal. Fruits and veggies! Sugar in soda and fruit juice (without the fiber of the fruit, juice is just like drinking a sugary soda) have too much sugar and breads act like sugar in the body which increases insulin (hormone that helps store fat) so don't use them as snacks throughout the day, only in addition to meals if you prefer. Also, look up intermittent fasting/time restricted eating. That worked for me pretty well and it doesn't seem affect your basal metabolic rate much so when you decide to stop the schedule its not like a diet where you risk gaining everything back as quickly as long as you keep working out and eating fruits and veggies :)

thank you for this awesome advice! I will certainly take it. Hopefully my exercise will start to show some improvements, and although i am not a fan of eating spinach and broccoli everyday, i will give it a shot. and eliminate the evil carbs.

I wouldn’t say eliminate carbs completely. I don’t think eliminating things from a diet is productive, it’s more like finding the balance between macronutrients like fat, protein, and carbs while choosing healthy foods like fruits and vegetables as snacks. I prefer pineapple or berries of some kind :). I prefer to get my carbs from fruits and veggies and keep bread only as an accessory to a meal and avoid it as an in between snack, or right before bed

Some like 'em more padded than others. Some guys like little-boy figures. So don't judge guys for what they like, just find one that likes YOU, just the way you are.

Quit with the bread, and other complex carbs - cut out potatos, pasta, bread, pastries, and alcohol. No fast food, no junk food, no sugar or candy.

Move more, run, jog, pump iron, walk, whatever. If you eat better and move more you'll be as fit as you can be, and that has to be good enough. There's no magic to this, and some girls are just more curvy. So be it - find the guy that likes that.

thank you, I will definitely eliminate more carbs from my diet, and continue to exercise often. Like I said, I don't eat a lot of sweets or junk, but bread, potatoes and rice have got to go. wait though, why potatoes? One potato has 80 calories.

An occasional potato is fine, but a steady diet is too much carbs. Carbohydrates are broken down into sugar, so your body needs them to sustain mental accuity and motor function. But it doesn't take much and anything your body doesn't readily use for fuel turns into fat stores.
Proteins build muscle tissue, and supply amino acids for other bodily functions. A lean diet is healthy, whole foods, natural foods, organics. Processed, junk, and fast foods are what make people fat. And corn - it just doesn't digest, so hispanics tend to always be overweight - they really like their corn. Processed bleached flour is also awful.

A glass of wine is fine, or a beer, but diet and exercise is what will keep you lean.

Also know that some body types are just prone to gaining weight. I married one - she eats like a bird but has always been a 12-14 with HH's. I love her to death, but she never has been nor ever will be thin, or skinny. And she likes her alcohol too much. No change in 30 years. :)

I was a body builder in the Schwarzenegger and Forigno era - that was over thirty years ago. Not much has changed - America invented fast food and junk food. Potato chips, cookies, candies, soda - the stuff is all horrible.

My mother put sugar on everything we ate. She bought breakfast cereal that had a second ingredient of sugar, then we put brown sugar on it. Everything was high sugar. I became horribly hypoglycemic, to the point of crashing at near coma levels. It took me until forty years old to figure it out. I had no choice, I HAD to learn about proper diet - my health and life depended on it.

Anyway, to answer your question, men like women that are seriously into them - their body is secondary. Unless she's morbidly obese. The main thing is that you're happy and healthy. :)

I'd rather have a good face than a good body. That said, if someone's really overweight you see it in their face, which detracts a bit. I'm fine with someone being a bit overweight (I think some body shapes look better when chubby). The rowing machine is good, but I would suggest you mix it up if it's all you do

It's great when some men have preferences and standards, but ya know, if you ain't gorgeous yourself, you really shouldn't think you're too good for others. **Speaking generally here, because i see so many men who have chicken legs and they expect their women to be not a pound over 110 and no less than a D cup. I mean come on, be realistic. as i said earlier, i am not fat to the point where it makes me look gross. i am working on it, but i was wondering if it really matters all that much if a girl is chubby. not obese, obese, i can understand.
