I'm 26 years old and I'm a very thick girl , I have my tongue pierced and was wanting to get my tummy done to but I didn't know if that is OK or not . I would be the only one that ever see it cause I would never dress where anyone would see it but I don't know if I should or not since I'm not skinny . I think when it comes to tats and piercings, if you want something done, you should do it. No one else can make that decision for you, and you shouldn't let others make you doubt yourself, when it's something you want.

I say go for it. You'll never know for sure if you like it or not until you get it done. You could end up loving it. And you can always take it out if you don't like how it turns out. No harm done. =]

When you get your bellybutton done they numb it so when I got mine done I didn't feel the needle go through at all. I only felt the clamp they put on before they used the numbing spray. Its really not as bad as people think. But it is different for some people.

Oh by the way, it just gets a bit itchy for a week or so and you'll feel the need to keep touching it lol. Make sure you don't catch things on it like your shirt when your getting changed when you first get it done too. And I think that you should get it done if it suits you. Its nice to look down and see a cute piercing even if no one sees it (: and its like not even as painfull as getting your ears pierced. Honest.

I think you should do it. To me bigger women can look good with a belly ring. To me if you are doing it for yourself then why care if others would want you to or not. If you want to do it then do it but if you decide not to then that should be your decision not others.

If you want to get your belly button pierced just for you, then why not? Obviously any piercings hurt but it's only a few seconds of pain for something permanent. Not that bad. But the aftercare does take quite a while and the full healing process is a few months. Just to let you know.

Apparently belly button piercings don't hurt, I have heard from girls that they don't at all, they just seem so, it's supposed to be equivalent to getting your ear pierced, and If you want ti for yourself, go for it.
