Nope both are always visible without flexing... That's what happens when you use your wrists to support and lift your entire body weight and for fine balance control...

Scientists thought that wisdom teeth were irrelevant too, turns out it was all fake.
So, are you saying that the theory that Palmaris Longus being an evolutionary trait is incorrect?
No but it might be.
Very possible, ideas like this are simply speculations, we can't know for sure! Scientists think the muscle was helpful for climbing, which our ancestors did a lot of. :)
Its maybe useful for a lot of things like mixing eggs to make bacon and eggs breakfast.
