haha welcome to the club, I'm 6'6" and gained weight to where I was obese (never heavy in my life till last year) and now I'm loosing it again. I don't think your heavy, for myself (I'm in a diferent age bracket though than you) I'm not as picky if a girl is chubby. I don't know what you mean by loosing the pounds. The best way to do that is to diet. yes I said diet but it's not what you think! I lost about 30lbs by stop drinking soda and fast food! Plus the foods you eat matter too! For example whole grain pastas and brown rice are better for you than white rice or otherwise. Cut back on the junk food you get at school! Eat sandwiches vs the hot lunches with fries. Find a juice that you like that's 100% or even those tubs of gatoraid. Also you should be exercising. If you live near a college call the fitness center and see if they can put you into contact with a graduate or someone that can make an exercise plan for you! If you follow there workout plan you will probably have a lean toned stomach by next summer! Haha keep in mind though that for a women the fat leaves the chest too so don't be suprised if your not as big in that region but hey you can show off your cool new body! Oh and btw guys love a girl who can wear workout clothes and pull off the look!

My sister is your height, and at 130 she was really skinny. She's now about 147 and is perfectly fine, about a size six (she is in the ARMY, so lots of tone muscle). I'm 5'8" and some, and I weigh about 160-167, depending. Weight fluctuates. While I think I'm a bit on the big side, I'm nowhere near worrying. So don't go losing weight, you're perfectly normal, even if you look like you've put some on. It could be water weight or some extra that will come off in a few weeks.
And please, don't go looking at height/weight charts. They make everyone feel bad usually.
Guys will find you attractive, too. They, like us, have different things that attract them. Not all guys like the skinny and bony look. If you want to tone, though, try drinking more water and less other stuff, and cut out some snack-y foods, like chips and cookies, or keep them to a minimum. We don't keep them in the house (except a bag of Milanos, because everyone has their guilty pleasure). Walk a little bit, find reasons to be outside or about instead of on the couch, etc.
Don't worry hun, it's going to take some time, but that weight will go away by itself, at least that's how it was for me, elbeit, I'm not 120 for my 5'8 but 130 is pretty good from where I see it.
You may never reach your ideal weight, but don't let that bring you down or force you to do a stupid diet involving something that will most likely hurt you more that help. If you want to loose weight now, a quick, easyish, and healthy way would to completely stop drinking pop, no exceptions, you'll drop about 10 pounds and then if you increse your water consumption to about a gallon+ a day, you'll drop about 5 more pounds.
But that''s only if you want to, I personaly think that 150 is a nice weight for 5'7, it's healthy and normal. But if you want to loose some weight, please be smart about it.
150 is not overweight. your body mass index would be 23.5 ( Normal weight = 18.5-24.9 ). If you loss 20lbs you'd be at 20.4. So my suggestion is if your not comfortable in your body than loose a few, if you are fine with your body than maybe try building some muscles up. In honesty no girl really likes a stick figured guy even if he has little muscles. We like to Hug guys with a little meat on their bones!

You'd be bone if you were 120, that's how much girls who are like 5'3 should weigh!
at MOST you could lose like 5 or 6 pounds.

oh dear, don't lose that much. you're fine, you really don't need to lose any at all but if its bothering you, tone up by working out or something. btw I'm 5'10 and 160 lbs.
5'7 is the perfect height, its the average height. I think 150 is ok but if you are not comfortable with it then do what you have to do but not more than 10 pounds though
