What are your thoughts on horse riding?

I rode a horse once. And when I say I rode him, I was able to hang on while he went into a full gallop out of the yard, up the hill, into the neighbor's yard, scrapped my leg along a barbed-wire fence before galloping UNDER a tree limb and scrapped me off his back. "Don't worry, he's gentle", were the last words I heard.
The horse obviously was spooked at something. Didn’t mean to hurt you
I like the coordinated effort with the rider and the horse. The horse can't speak but there's communication between the rider and horse and I think it's beautiful how they achieve a coordinated effort without ever speaking and doing great things together. Just awesome.
I love horseback riding. I grew up with horses and it's my dream in life to be able to one day own horses myself again.
I think it's both exciting and relaxing. But I never ride a house.

It's apparently a big deal here in France. A friend of mine is staying with his uncle in a farm dedicated for horse riding competition and his uncle and his wife both participate so I recently I got to know the sport as my friend sends me pictures and explains how it works.
I always loved horses although never saw the appeal of a competing. I prefer the time when they were the primary means of transportation but that's been done for over a century now.
I'm strictly a sailor Kick Scooter bicycle Subway kind of man but I will tell you what Pretty if you're right in front of me I probably won't even feel the pain of a saddle to the question how many miles can we ride round trip before the horse gives up.
Its fun, I grew up with horses so... just don't get thrown off, that hurts. We still got farmers/ranchers that occasionally ride them into town to do shopping or whatever. Most have switched over to side by sides or atv's.
Expensive hobby, not entirely safe even if you stay on the ground.
Hobby?

That's been the destiny of my money for 8+ years now.
My wife's addiction to horses has ruined us.
Yeah all for it’s it gets people outside and appreciating their horses
that and girls in jodhpurs and boots are simply great
To cite Robert Downey Jr. from "A Game Of Shadows", 'They're dangerous at both ends and crafty in the middle"
Just my opinion.
It is a blast it's so relaxing in so many ways ,, it's just cool
I like like horse riding. I haven't rode in years now though.
Adventurous. Would like to try one day.
How many years you have been riding?
I’ve been riding for 7-8 years
So you are doing it from a pretty young age. You should be an expert by now.
I do comps
Great. Got any achievements?
I've ridden them several times at summer camp and such. I enjoyed it, although I don't remember how to secure the saddle 😂
I love petting and hugging horses but I've yet to ride one. Every time I get the chance some doubt creeps in my head and I decline.
My sister has been doing it all her life and she enjoys it. Personally I wouldn't do it, I'm not that great with animals. It seems like a fun hobby for some people.
It's fun. 2 of my exes rode horses. It's entertaining to watch as well
So how rich are you? Be honest, we can all take it.
it honestly seems pretty interesting to me. I have been dying to have lessons. Its pretty cool
@Nobody770 yea a few times. theyre cool
It's hard and takes a lot of training.
If you fall off you could injure yourself pretty bad.
Elegant sport. However it does remind me of Christopher Reeves accident.
It’s very interesting been years since I last got on a horse (24 years to be exact)
If I could do it more often I would enjoy it more. The couple of times I have it was fun
