Do you think less of a person if they have crooked teeth?

lets say the person is really attractive, has style, is extremely nice, but has some crooked teeth. would you think any less of them or would you be turned off completely? lets say just a few teeth are crooked. they don't have bad breath, their teeth aren't yellow and they brush their teeth daily. they either just have crowding of the teeth or another problem. I do have some crooked teeth, I have four due to crowding. I was told when I was younger by my dentist (after I asked him about braces, I really wanted them) he said "you don't need braces! all I have to do is pull a few teeth and they'll straighten out!" this was a lie. I always got called names for my teeth in school hated it. I never smile showing my teeth, and whenever I'm out people go "smile!" and I smirk and they think I'm a bitch, but in reality I just don't want them to go "ewwww don't smile!" or be repulsed. I just started going to a dentist again and am getting my teeth 100% healthy (had a deep cleaning, gotta get a few fillings in a few weeks Because I had a few cavaties) then after I'm getting braces. people have scolded me before asking "WHY don't you get braces" or saying things like "you'd be so gorgeous if you had straight teeth" and it sucks! what do you guys think? do you think less of people who have crooked teeth? do they deserve to be harassed and put down due to it? also, do people really mind braces on an adult female?

Of course not...its all in your confidence and how you feel about it. I once dated a girl who had crooked teeth and a gap in her tooth but she was so confident and comfortable in her own skin she was probably the sexiest girl I ever met in my life because no one ever said anything to her and she alway smiled in pictures with a huge grin. She just embraced who she was ya know. This girl always had boyfriends and had to fight guys off with a stick...I kid you not.

So its all about your attitude towards u...if you let it bother you others will pick up on it. I know its cliche but its so darn true. Then I have known girls who have really beautiful smiles like you wouldn't believe and could not get a boyfriend and felt self conscious about whatever.

bottom line its all about your attitude. but in the meantime if you want get braces or do invisalign braces so no one can detect that you are weaing them. most people are candidates for invisalign especially adults too. Embrace yourself

Whether you got braces or kept them the way they are, I wouldn't mind. You said that you take care of them, and that's the part that matters.

I like a few crooked teeth. I like when smiles have some quirk and character. Personally, I had braces for two years, and my teeth came out super straight and whatnot, but I didn't like it, because it was too different, too unnatural for me. I eventually lost my retainers at some point, and my teeth shifted back somewhat, to like the halfway point between before and right after braces. I like my teeth SO much better now than when they were perfectly straight. My boyfriend has a few crooked teeth and minor crowding in a couple spots, and I think his smile is SO f.ucking cute.

I get the same, I hate it so much when people say "you would be so pretty if you got braces" its like oh :( and I only have one tooth that is crooked. When I see people with crooked teeth I want to go up to them and high five them :P because where I live they put braces on everyone the amount of people that have one tooth like 2mm out of place that get braces is stupid. I think if you really want straight teeth do it, I think seeing braces on an adult woman will make a few people look twice but it won't really be more then that.

i totally agree with krisskiss...its all about your attitude.

I had the biggest crush on this one guy who had crooked teeth. I only noticed it once or twice when I first met him. He was so confident and smiling all the time, I forgot about it. I haven't seen him in a couple months now but he's still the most attractive guy I know.

I'm sorry but I have this thing with teeth. I hate it when people's teeth or yellow or crooked. But person wise I wouldn't think less of them...

hahah yah its dumb! I don't qualify they said because of how my teeth are basically. I have a cross bite and my top two (not front teeth but the next ones) stick out a little (kinda like an overbite but with the second teeth) so they said I don't qualify grrr

aw that sucks I'm sorry :/ I also heard of people getting braces behind their teeth so you can't see them. I think miley cyrus had that, and you couldn't tell. I also had a few minor crookedness in my teeth in 8th grade and I asked my dentist if I needed braces and he said no, just a retainer.and that straightened my teeth out, so ask your dentist for different options. or the braces behind your teeth option. good luck!
