Why pay for friends & waste valuable college time & loan money by trying to be the most popular kid in school? This isn't high school. This is college. The choices you make now affect the quality of person you become. It doesn't take a group of girls to network with others. It takes people skills. The only girls I knew that stayed in sororities were manipulators, gossipers, fake in all way shape or form and only stayed friends with you if you were also in a sorority. They are up for whatever you want to do as a guy because they have been taught to suppress their own interests until they have you hooked. That's when they manipulate you into thinking what is their idea is actually yours. After you realize this, you will soon begin to realize that you've made the worst decision in your life. Most of them aren't looking for life partner & if they are they're looking to see how much money he has in his wallet. *Daddies little spoiled princesses who don't know what true love looks like. Instead her parent's bought her off with gifts & presents & she'll expect you to do the same. They're also the kind that will sleep their way to the top because in all reality it's not who you are it's who you are compared to the next sorority enemies bf. It's all a game. So if you're willing to be played like a fool feel free & hurt yourself.

I'm in a sorority and it surprises even myself sometimes that I joined one. I, like lots of people, was put off by the stereotypes and never had a desire to be a part of one. But then I rushed and fell in love with one house and I've never regretted that decision. It wasn't like what I expected at all. I've made life long friends, gotten involved with my community, made connections...the sorority helps me with school, jobs, internships...they provide sisterhoods that don't involve drinking but just us hanging out. I have a group of people that always have my back and look out for me. And of course, there is the partying social aspect. I've gone to the best parties and made friends through those that could've only been made possible by the greek circle.

It's not for everyone, but it was for me. I know that I don't fit most of those stereotypes at all, but if someone is going to judge me like that when I'm wearing my letters down the street, then good for them. I wouldn't want to get to know someone who was judging me like that anyway. Especially since I now know from experience that it wasn't anything like what I expected.

I was in a fraternity for two years in college and then quit. I had quite a few run ins with sorority girls… The problem I think is that the loudest/trashiest/materialistic girls ruin it for all the decent ones. It’s too bad. Most of the sorority girls that came to our parties were pretty bad… they would get passed around from guy to guy because they had to be with a guy from our frat. It was sad.

However, whenever I did go visit a sorority house I found plenty of nice girls there too… they didn’t seem to hang out with the girls that came to our parties. That’s my $.02

Pretty much its a group of air heads. That's the stereotype. Yes some are good looking and that's why they are a sorority girl, some are just obnoxious and have a huge sense of fashion.

For me honestly, I would never date one. They're drama filled, party to hard, and hook up with any guy they find good when drunk.

Depends on the individual, but the stereotypes they have going for them are not good ones. Loose, easy, shallow, dumb, heavy drinkers, drug users, non-committed- all of those are negatives for me. I've met some that fit that mold perfectly, and some that are the polar opposite.

the sorority girls at my school are SO sexy. I don't think I would ever try with one though. I'll leave them to the blow-hard frat guys.
