The worst is mood swings and cramps... you don't know when it hits
My first period was on the day of an exam and I didn't know a lot about girl puberty
and when I went in the washroom I literally screamed after seeing the blood then I just went to my mom and told her about the blood in my sheets and pants. MOM told me that I started having periods and it would happen every month for half my life...
then gave me a pad to use.
During school suddenly I had the worst stomach pain... cramp

you want to know the worst part is feeling disguised by yourself, i remember never having a period and then shortly after i got one i hated it with everything inside of me and i felt very disguised by myself i didn’t feel human i felt filthy like i wasn’t women but of course this is normal for us women to have without a period we can’t clean our uterus and produce babies, but i also hate feeling sticky and slimy most of the day since i go to school and if i’m on my period i can’t obviously shower myself while i’m there to feel clean and refreshed and i don’t have enough time between classes to wipe and clean down there so i’m left feeling very tired and sticky and moody i’m hell when i’m on my period more like a different person

That would be other because it is all of the above. No I don't use tampons I despise those things I use menstrual cups. Oh and you left one thing out of the list being horny

Everything. It’s like you can’t function normally sometimes and there’s days where i feel like I want to do absolutely nothing because of how gross I feel. It’s the constant pad changing, super long showers, feeling bloated all of the time, sometimes you get hot flashes, you feel dizzy sometimes, cramps are an absolute pain in the ass LITERALLY. And sometimes you don’t even want to go to work because you don’t want to deal with people and their sh. t while you’re going through sh. y yourself. Ugh it’s a lot. But that’s my experience.

Cramps! Boy when I say I get cramps… not just lower stomach or back pain but damn sometimes it’s so bad that it’s in my asshole. Have you ever tried to have a number 2 but got asshole cramps on your period? It’s not fun😭
Then there’s doing a number 2 several times a day. I poop more on my period more than any other time.

Since being on birth control I hardly ever have periods anymore and when I do get it the symptoms are very mild. I remember my periods being the absolute worst when I was a teenager, terrible cramps to where I couldn't even get out of bed. There were a few times where I felt so bad I threw up.

A. And D. God the versions of pain, tends to hurt worse on lighter flow months. Heavier flow girls will have more irritation with changing collections. Could not live without menutrual cups, but even they overflow or leak at times for various reasons. The whole process is just unnecessary evil. The flow could have been created clear, and we could have had pouches instead giving birth to tiny babies like kangaroos or something.. lots of ways evolution could have thought it all out better. 😬

Maybe sometimes the slightest bit of queasiness, like something is churning in my pelvis, but that’s all.

Oh, also the pads can make the area a bit irritated after a few days of using them. That sucks..

I have this really horrible horrible migraine before and after my period it is so debilitating I have to be in bed I can’t focus it’s the worst. I always think there’s a tumor or something worse in my head when it happens

i used to have pretty heavy periods before having kids, plus with tampons you can't leave them longer than 12ish hours I believe due to the chance of Toxic Shock Syndrome.
