I've been a trainer and a coach myself but in sports... and I only do it for the two sports I can actually play and know well myself, which is mostly soccer and some football so I know by experience that it would be extremely difficult to properly train someone by just "telling them what to do" and then expect them do it... you have to be able to get onto it yourself an show them the best ways and more importantly you have to be able to keep up with them
maybe she has a lot of knowledge sure, but... whatever she can tell me I could as easily read it in a book, magazine or watch a Youtube video... motivation is very important as well, it is extremely important... and for me it would be quite difficult to pretend that I would not be worried about her health. I have seen plenty of people that are less heavy than her, and they have many issues with their knees, their breathing capacity, they have issues to sleep... and then there's diabetes, heart conditions, hormonal levels, and triglycerides counts, sugar levels and what not...
i work in healthcare i see it in all shapes and sizes.
its this dumb show co workers watch (fat fabulous life) and mainly is topic of conversation i say if you can't do what you are asking of me, its pointless not matter what size
from what coworkers showed me this week on the show- she was even too lazy to go for her credentials, to take the testing- so they were doing a trial at the gym. hmmm very telling
leading by example... right?
it really goes down to that...
that was my thoughts
Personal Trainer you mean?
She might even have the knowledge, but it would be really hard to respect and accept her, since she doesn't even make an effort to show results in her own body.
exactly see you get it, its been a topic at work these days
very true
No I would not. My boyfriend is a personal trainer and owns his business. He tells me that he actually does work outs with his clients to keep the motivated and practices what he preaches because that is how you become more trustworthy and get people to listen to your advice. You need to be the part. How can her clients be motivated when she isn’t motivated?
Keep them motivated *
I'd give her a chance.
I have no clue what she's going through.
I say that, but talked mad shit about my track coach who was big.

Hmm not really. I wouldn’t doubt their knowledge even if she had the credentials and documentation proving it but I would have my doubts until she does the same thing.
For example, I know martial arts and let’s say I was teaching the kids how to do the techniques but after 3 demonstrations of a simple kick I’m gassing for air? And They’re supposed to trust me on their path to better health? I don’t blame their skepticism at that point
Ah, hell no. If she's a trainer, then I'm a gold-winning Olympic athlete.
Yes I don’t see why not. I’m currently in the underweight category and need help gaining a little bit back so I’m in the healthy range. She might be able to help.
Other. I wouldn't allow her to be my personal trainer for fitness, but we COULD go back to my place and do some "bedroom workouts." 😉
And yeah, that was MEANT to be cringey.
Omg lmao! I was about to say no way would you ever comment something like that 😭
Yeah, you're not necessarily a good trainer if you're shredded.
The same goes otherwise.
I would try her out see if it works, if we go well together, and see if I get what I need from it.
I dont think her weight automatically discredits her, but id want a trainer that is more hands on and involved in my training
I would probably think for a minute and reach out to gym owner...
My current trainer is a guy who is not much buffed up but he has lot of certificates..
Trainers dont need to be Arnold or something but probably not this type too...
I think they say "Do as I say not do as I Do"... or something like that lol. So if the advise is good then why not.
Sure, I would try it. She looks very capable and also very nice.
I don't want a skinny chef, and I don't want a fat athletic trainer.
If they can't keep themselves fit, hw they gonna help motivate me?
yeah if she knows what she's talking about. I don't expect my trainer to live the lifestyle I want them to train me to do. It would be cool if they did, but I don't expect it. i know a lot of other people do though.
Why wouldn’t you expect a personal trainer to practice what they preach? There’s WAY too many forms of misinformation on health out there just to listen to anyone.
@kyleelyn199723 because I know personal fitness but don't always make the best choices for myself. It doesn't mean that I don't know what those choices are, and wouldn't be able to help someone else with them.
@opnion owner I think her ideal weight is above making bad choices. Me and my man are both in the health field and me and him will pig out. We aren’t perfect but me and him are also not obese people because we have to practice what we preach
@kyleelyn199723 yep like I said, a lot of people want a trainer to be like that, but not all of us care so much. One of the most motivational trainers I've ever met was a chunky chick. Didn't ask if she was a former olympic power lifter or just enjoyed 40 boxes of ice cream on weekends. hehe. She knew what she was talking about, was technical af, and could motivate anyone to push harder with her voice.
She can be my trainor on how to beat an eating competition.
If she knows what she’s doing I could care less about her size
fair, but what if she cannot perform the same tasks she is asking of you and was too lazy to actually go for her license as the stated on the show?
I'd be concerned that she wouldn't be able to keep up with the regimen that she wanted me to do.
I'll walk back to my car and head home.
Only if we were sumo wrestling
I could lift her to make some decent gainz.
Give her a chance you never know
Trainer for what? Bigmac eating contest.
😂😂😂
only if she’s training me for an eating contest 😝
Training for what?
An eating contest!
Like what would she be training me for?
Nope
She needs training.
