Asker+1 ySo sorry about you losing a family member.
You’ve had it twice—wow…did your body react the same or differently to getting it each time?
Asker+1 yAlmost died—holy cow!…on a ventilator/in the Intensive Care Unit?
Did you vote F?- +1 y
It was at the very beginning. Ventilators were actually killing people they stopped those pretty quick. The hospital wouldn't take me unless I was coughing up a certain amount of blood. It was like a tsp or tbs I don't remember the amount. Just stayed in master bedroom doing self care.
Asker+1 yClose to death but never admitted to the hospital—wow.
How long were you in terrible shape (medically) because of it?- +1 y
Like close to death? Probably 6 days, then pretty sick for like another 10. My cardio was permanently affected. The second time it fucked up my taste and smell and when it came back stuff tastes different. I enjoyed whiskey with a splash of coke every so often. Now coke just taste like cleaner. It made some other stuff taste bad as well.
Asker+1 ySeverely ill for 2+ weeks, and still have long term taste impacts—that sucks…
But other than that, are you ok—with respect to respiratory & other body functions?- +1 y
My cardio still hasn't returned to normal. I am also unvaccinated and don't plan to get one based on the science I've seen. I would have glady got a vaccine if it were available before I had it twice. I think the proof is in the pudding. When I had it a second time it was much more mild due to be having antibodies. I had it about 9 months apart.
Asker+1 yOk. Wishing you well from here on.
Asker+1 yYou’re welcome.
Did you vote F?
Asker+1 yDon’t like to vote in polls as a rule?

+1 yMy wife had it about 3 times (yes she had all the shots) and a few friends have had it.
We're all connected to the military and got vaccinations like crazy. I may of had it, but the usual hangover is more noticeable. From my understanding, is it only fucks up the weak, obese, or immune compromised for some reason.

Asker+1 yShe’s had it 3 times—wow!
Do you have kids? (I guess not, or if so then one got it?)
Asker+1 y* or if so then NO one got it
- +1 y
2 kids... don't think they got it at all.
- +1 y
Work environment is how the wife just keeps getting exposed to it.
Asker+1 yOk.
What’s makes her work environment more conducive to her catching things from others?- +1 y
Being stuck on as ship with 5,000 people with constant face to face contact. I mean, just look up the sleeping conditions in the Navy and you'll start to understand.
Asker+1 yOh so she’s a sailor, huh? Ok.
I know that that’s nothing like she has a “cabin” all to herself on a cruise ship. Lol.- +1 y
Yeah I used to be a sailor and know it sucks. We're packed like sardines 3 high in long rows of racks (beds). Basically, you can smell everybody's farts.
Asker+1 yOh man, wow.
Thanks for you & your wife serving our country.
+1 yYes. My brother had some trouble breathing last year. Went in for scans and stuff, was told he had to do a covid test. He tested positive. But his symptoms weren’t really that of covid. He had to go to surgery as his lungs was actually filling with water.
I have had friends of friends test positive too. An older distant relative died of covid too.13 Reply
Asker+1 ySorry about your relative.
How was your brother post-surgery and how is he now?
And how did you vote—E?- +1 y
Must have been an error. Didn’t vote at all. My brother is doing fine now. I’m grateful for that.
Asker+1 yOk glad that he is well now.
You haven’t voted yet—ok; you still can, please do.

+1 yI've had it, and a couple of family members have at least tested positive (high-cycle PCR tests don't actually mean that you have something, but few think to even ask what kind of test is being used).

Asker+1 yHow was your body’s reaction to it?
Will your family who tested positive have other more extensive tests done?- +1 y
As with most people, I just minor symptoms- under normal circumstances, I would've just thought it was a cold.
And the family who caught it have likewise long since recovered; I don't know of any plans they have to go further.
Asker+1 yOk, glad it wasn’t a big deal for you & yours.
- +1 y
Me too.
+1 yWe’ve all had it, my hubby and I are quadruple vaxed and our daughter is triple vaxed. Thank god we god the vaccine I couldn’t handle having any of us having it worse.

two weeks of drowning in her own fluids in her lungs.
Asker+1 yOh wow that’s terrible!
+1 yI chose F.
A friend and a family member both had it.13 Reply
Asker+1 yWas it a minor thing for them?
- +1 y
My Aunt, it messed up her smell and taste and it's still kind of messed up. Might be a permanent thing. My friends that got it, were pretty sick, not on a ventilator thankfully but they did get pretty sick from it. They're all better now though.
Asker+1 yOh wow. I’ve had family & friends get it but nothing too bad w them.
+1 yYes, I have had a few have it but it didn’t get too bad for them. My husband had it the worst. He said that he had bad joint pain with Covid.
15 Reply- +1 y
I did have an uncle that passed from it. He was 90 though so he was high risk.
Asker+1 ySo sorry about your uncle.
How did you vote in the poll—maybe E or F?
