So how was it for you? Did it knock you down hard or it wasn’t a big deal and did you recover quickly? I got it one time I think I Handled it pretty well and even celebrated New Year’s and shut off fireworks around that time of COVID-19
13 dYeah, I did have Covid back in 2022.. These were the worst 22 (or so) days in my life. Even though my relatives also got infected with the virus, it hit me harder than anyone else in the family (and since I'm not immunocomprised, or elderly, the doctors wouldn't give me antivirals).
I remember how the symptoms began; at first I was feeling extremely fatigued all of a sudden, sleepy and so weak that I couldn't even lift a toothpick. Then my throat suddenly got scratchy and so icky that no candy or remedy would relieve it (it was so intense that I couldn't even swallow food, due to the pain). On top of that came the constant body aches, the nausea and the chills, the nose congestion and all the sweating. And I was constantly coughing up very thick mucus for 22 straight days; the situation was so bad that I couldn't breathe properly, as my chest felt completely clogged. I'm honestly quite surprised I managed to survive and didn't end up in the ICU; I kept a pulse oxymeter by my side like a talisman constantly, bracing for the moment my oxygen levels would drop
Ever since, I will still wear a mask in public transportation and public places, as I don't wanna relive this nightmate ever again.. What prompted you to ask this though after so many years? I hope everything is fine and that there isn't a specific reason you're asking this

s 13 dYes, I remember that you poor thing. You are a fighting warrior you came through perfectly fine. I was very worried about you. Thank God that you were ok. ❤️ I was there for you and I knew you would make it. I was your number 1 supporter. This question just popped into my head tonight and I thought it was a good question to ask. Yes I’m perfectly fine. I’m not sick.
- 13 d
Pheeew I thought you were asking, cause you wanted to cross-check your symptoms with others'; it's good that you don't have it and are symptom-free
That whole ordeal would be a torture that I really wouldn't wish on anyone
Yeah your support to me has been invaluable; a light in the haze
Thank you so much for your kindness, I deeply appreciate it ❤ 😊 - 11 d
Thank you for mho

13 dI think I got it when it was back in 2020 because I was really sick and couldn't taste anything for weeks. I think they said that was one of the symptoms of having it. Being without taste.

12 dMy wife and I were doing quite well in the beginning of that fiasco. The second yea into it, we both started feeling wrung out. We took the COVID swab tests. Hers took several minutes to turn a sift pink. Mine turned scarlet before they even got the swab in the tube!!! A couple days later, we got the revised IV treatment in our local hospital and we were fine.
We know a few people who took the original IV treatment and had a hard time. One - a very good friend- had the first IV and was feeling better. He was swayed by a doc who wanted to a second of the same IV, he relented, got the second IV and died from it over-taxing his body. Wife was devastated. Only a month or so ago, she finally worked up enough courage to go through his belongings, about 5 years later.

I've always had a high resistance to colds, etc. Mixed blessing. So, I'd feel mildly crappy for two or three weeks as my body keeps fighting it off. My wife is the opposite. Her body just gives up, she gets knocked on her rear for three days and is fine after that.
13 dI got it two summers ago, while visiting my parents. I was tested, because my dad was going through chemotherapy and the doctors wanted to make sure it was COVID, otherwise, I wouldn't care. They gave him antiviral pills. It knocked me down for two days. A pretty high fever, a bad cough, body aches, tired but I felt great on the third day. My dad ended up getting it two days after me but only had a minor fever and a cough. He did have a lot of fatigue but recovered after two days. My mom never showed one symptom! I'm just glad everything worked out, because I was scared for my dad.

He's in remission and the doctors expect him to be pretty much cured by next summer. The funny thing is, not to push an agenda, his doctors decided not to give him a COVID shot, because he was so compromised by chemo.

Thanks, God bless you.
Anonymous(36-45)13 dI had Covid after I caught it from my parents about a year after Covid really took off. They barely had a few sniffs here and there, but I was absolutely wrecked for an entire month. It was awful. In the rankings of awful things I've had, only when I nearly died from pneumonia ranks worse than how I felt with Covid. It was just everything all at once and I had a cough that went on and on. The whole thing kind of pissed me off because I was so careful everywhere else, masking, washing hands, but it's like your parents, you just relax around them, and don't think anything of a few sniffles, but geezus!!!!
21 ReplyI'm lucky in that I didn't get covid. But I was very cautious. I took it seriously from the beginning. Stayed home. Social distanced. Wire my mask at all times including outdoors. Tested at least weekly and at times daily depending on how bad covid was currently spreading. Got all my vaccines and booster shots. Did everything to limit exposure. Seems to have worked really well. Many weren't so fortunate and died or suffered severe long term or permanent damage. Mainly the anti maskers anti vaxxers anti testers and anti lockdowners and they killed many and endangered many other lives.
20 ReplyNope. I never had COVID, I never got an experimental COVID gene therapy vaccine, I never wore a mask for COVID, I never locked down for COVID, I never social distanced for COVID, etc. I just washed my hands, didn't touch my face when I was out in public, and cooked my own meals avoiding people handling my food. Other than that I went on with life as normal, got sunshine and exercise, and fresh air.

@eninytxis I'm a biological engineer that worked for a number of years in an immunology laboratory in a medical school. Clearly I did what I was trained to do and as a result I never got sick and maintained my freedom. You on the other hand sound like a fucking lunatic. Stop smoking crack you low IQ loser.
1K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Probably just the omicron headache...
And I was around the public through all the time.
However, I did have a very nasty flu in 2014. It knocked me out for over a month. First few days my body completely shut down and I thought I was going to die. Next two or three weeks was agonising recuperation where I had to train myself to get out of bed and move out for a few hours a day. It was extremely painful to do so but knew I couldn't just waste away in bed.
21 ReplyI did.
My wife contracted it a few days before and went to get tested and passed it on to me. Her symptoms were fairly minor with headaches and flu symptoms. Mine, on the other hand had me coughing blood, sweating, puking, bed ridden for days and 3 weeks out of work, my first sickness in 25 years of work (injuries from accidents notwithstanding this was my first ever claim of sickness keeping me from going to work where I had even gone to work with a broken ankle).
So it was awful for me when I was tested on my birthday in 2020 and spent the next 3 weeks at home10 Reply- 567 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic.
12 dI had it but the symptoms were pretty mild; just like a cold. Didn't last long, probably because I got vaccinated.
I've an older friend who bought in all the right wing conspiracy theories and she caught long term covid back in August. She's still in a very bad way and the prognosis doesn't look good. It's not just something thats killing old people13 Reply- 11 d
That's only because you only ask one question per year
Yep had it twice. Other than the flu symptoms - it wasn’t bad at all. Best part was when I couldn’t smell anything. I could breathe fine but not smell anything. Then my son blew a fart and I inhaled and laughed since I couldn’t smell anything. Only really bad part is that the after effect that never leaves you - drowsiness out of nowhere. by the way didn’t have the covid shot and Never getting it either. My 13 year young son and my 87 year young mother all had covid and didn’t get the vaccine and were alive and well 👍🙂

12 dHad it twice took me months to be able to breath normally again because I have asthma and it attached my lungs hard
I also lost taste the first time I got it but was lucky enough that a few weeks later I got it back
33 Reply- 12 d
@eninytxis I got it in 2022 and 2023 ans I can't get the shot due to how they are made because of my allergies
12 dNo. I'm young, in very good health, and I didn't wear a mask, never got tested, never got vaccinated. The people that got the vaccine, wore masks, and got tested were mainly the ones getting covid and dying.
Natural immunity, exercise, healthy diet and lifestyle is always the best defense against any illness.
Not to mention deaths from many things that weren't even Covid including the flu were counted as Covid deaths.
21 ReplyI've had COVID twice. The first time was early on before it was common everywhere. My grandfather caught it as well and sadly passed away, which made me really panic. I distinctly remember the pain in my chest when breathing.
21 ReplyI've never had it. I did not take the poison mRNA shots and was around hundreds of other people during the lockdowns too. ALL of the people I worked with that DID take the shots got covid, and three people I personally knew IRL died after taking the Pfizer shots. The only unvaccinated person I knew IRL that got covid said it was like a bad flu and only lasted 3 days. He had no long term side effects.

13 dI got covid in 2022, it knocked me on my ass. Insane night sweats and I would get winded just walking to the bathroom.
Doctor gave me some meds and I got better in about a week.21 Reply
11 dI sat next to someone who had covid in a small room for three days, 10 hours a day working on a video project for this nonprofit. Didn't find out till after because of the timing of when she got it but apparently I was with her at the most contagious part.
Went to the hospital, didn't even have the antibodies. I was like do you guys want to send some of my blood to a research university or something? no? I would haha

12 dYes. I got a mild case of COVID-19 about a week after I got the shot. It was more like a typical cold, lasted 5 days. Not a big deal. I stayed home only so I wouldn't give it to someone else. I continued to work from home, no lost time.
11 Reply 4.5K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. As far as I know , I never had it. When I got the two dose Moderna vaccine I was done with Covid as far s I was concerned. I threw away all the masks
28 Reply678 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Nope. Never got the jab, either. And I was in crowds of unmasked, unjabbed people during the height of the hysteria.
21 Reply2.7K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I had it once and it honestly wasn't that bad the worst part of it was how weak it made my body feel walking up a flight of stairs felt like running a marathon. But honestly aside from that I've had colds that were worse.
I recovered from covid itself pretty quickly I was over that within about a week. But the weakness in my body took about 2-3 weeks before I actually felt and could move about normally.

11 dIt’s possible however if I did I couldn’t’ tell the difference between it & the common cold or the symptoms weren’t that bad. Everyone experiences it differently.

Knock on wood everyone’s immune system is different however during the lockdown it was business as usual for me & I still had to report to work. My coworkers had all kinds of symptoms & unfortunately five of them were there one day, went to the hospital, got put on ventilators & were gone the next. In addition three of my friends outside of work were there one day & gone the next as well. It sucks & hopefully the world doesn’t have to go through that again.
- 11 d
It really sucks & although it’s still going around with every single strand the virus changes & our immune systems are constantly fighting. A lot of people I knew lost their sense of smell or taste when it was at its peak. Now I have no idea what the symptoms are & hopefully one day it’s gone or we develop full immunity.
- 11 d
Hope you feel better bro!

12 dYa I caught it. I felt like I had the flu (without the vomiting) for about 2 weeks. It affected my sense of smell. This was about 4 years ago. I never totally regained it. I didn't lose it completely but I have lost some of it.

I just stayed in my room so my brother and roommate wouldn't get sick. I wasn't really sick at all. Nicotine prevents covid from settling in your lungs and killing you, it's something that the mainstream media and medical industry doesn't want to tell you. Nicotine is a powerful poison and kills everything, including covid
