What was your greatest mental lapse of 2021?

Took a shower, walked around the changing room of the gym after a swim. I was dumbfounded for a moment, made multiple passes looking for my locker, wearing nothing. Things were different, reversed of usual, the "OMEN" sign reflecting said it all... I was in the women's changing room!

Luckily, no women showed up during that time.

And no... I'm not blonde...

I don't know if this qualifies. I broke 3 metatarsals in my left foot and had to go see the podiatrist to see if I needed surgery. Well a month later I broke my right ankle. And was sent to the same part of town to see the podiatrist. Only 1 block apart. I didn't realize that there were 2 podiatrists that close together and when I just glanced at the address I concluded it was the same place. It wasn't and it made it impossible for me to get to my appt. On time since I had a splint on my right leg and a boot on my left I couldn't move very fast.

Great story, glad you avoided arrest. I had one the other day. I argued with a doctor on Wednesday. I thought it was Tuesday. I was so persuasive the doctor believed it was Tuesday before I left.
