Yes, I tried many drugs while in college so a couple of years ago. It depends on the drug but personally I loved the experience and didn't regret it. But the things I took regularly (say every 3-6 weeks) weren't addictive and the addictive things (crystal meth and cocaine) I only took a couple of times in my life. MDMA frankly saved my life because I had a serious social anxiety and drugs really brough me out of my shell. I even found a study about the potential of treating social anxiety with MDMA and I can attest that it works. That's not to say there is no risk involved, but I was an adult when I took them and always in total control with trusthworthy friends. Some people definitely should never be touching them and I've seen the consequence of when they do. But also, having tried so many things I can say with convidence that alcohol is worse than most of them. Unlike alcohol, many "party drugs" are 1) non addictive, 2) don't destroy your body as much and 3) don't put you or anyone around in danger when you take them. In fact they make you more assertive, no chance of you doing something that you wouldn't have otherwise. Oh and they're cheap. The only reason why some of them are illegal is because of alcohol manufactureres lobbying. Still, drugs only work great for a limited time and after that is just doesn't feel the same... hence I haven't been taking them for years and probably won't again. I left the party life behind altogether, we all moved on to building careers and family life.

Yeah, I tried acid and it just felt like time and my vision were slow. Nothing crazy.  I did weed, just felt like acid but not as intense.  I tried xanax, I don’t remember anything.

Technically. The first time, a girl kissed me and pushed a pill into my mouth. It dissolved before I could spit it out and, since she'd already had 5 of them and seemed perfectly fine, I didn't think that one (Nembutal: industrial strength downers) could hurt me. It made me very wobbly and I'm amazed I was even able to play the rest of the show without issue!
Almost exactly 10 years later, one of my roadies invited me to a party at his place 2 blocks away and, while there, I decided to try a hit off the bhong. All it did was burn my throat! same with the next time it came round. Exactly 1 year later, the same thing happened except that, this time, I only took one hit! Again, all it did was burn my throat so, I haven't touched it since then!

I've tried marijuana and poppers.

Marijuana: I felt like I was going somewhere else and experienced large amounts of hunger.
Poppers: I experienced a moment of brief lightheadedness and giggles. This was followed by a period of intense arousal.

I tried cannabis tincture. The first couple of times I did not feel much so I took a lot more and it just made me tired and if I stood up I felt like I would faint. It was very disappointing.

Tried cocaine one night. I honestly did not feel much, I had also been drinking alcohol so was already under influence. But definitely not worth it risking getting addicted or the price either. I'd stick to alcohol now and then :p

Allergic to pot. Did White Cross in my young & stupid days until I went through a hundred lot over a weekend and woke up Monday morning sober. Then gave it all up.

I smoked synthetic weed 4 times back in 2014. I smoked normal weed a lot of times from 2013 to 2020. I drink alcohol always.
