What do you think of gyms like Equinox? Pretentious or a good deal?

I had to look it up to see what it was like. It looks like a place where nobody is serious about working out and just want to be able to tell people they work out there because they want everyone to think they are cool. It is probably more a dating bar than a gym.

I just love the gym tbh. I wanted access to personal trainers and Pilates.

sorry to be so disparaging. It is good you found a place that yo are comfortable with. I have belonged to a few gyms in my lifetime. I changed gyms as I got older. The place I worked out before now was a real hardcore bodybuilders gym. I used to play "spot the old guy" where I would look around and try to find the oldest guy in the place. I knew it was time to find another place when most of the time the old guy was me.
