I've hallucinated visually only twice: once on shrooms (the whole "things breathing" makes sense and I could see hippie neon patterns on the ceiling), and once because of a panic attack that woke me up at 230am...

The panic attack was not fun. I had my head under a pillow but I still saw flashing lights like fireworks or police lights.
