Do you think being barefoot is a good thing to do?

In the past, it was propagated as being healthy. However, nowadays, I am not so sure about it and I don't go barefoot, not even in my own 4 walls.

There are way too many pathogens lurking around indoors in dust and outdoors in general. Even the beaches are no longer sacred because inconsiderate people walk their pets and those don't have the decency to do their business in designated areas.

While walking barefoot is generally considered healthy for the feet, the places where one can walk barefoot are indeed becoming increasingly rare because of general pollution by humans and animals alike.
