Personally I sit because it's much cleaner, but I know cleanliness isn't a priority for a lot of people.

One of my friends stands because it occupies his hands, so he can break the habit of using his phone in the bathroom.

Another sits because he has leg problems, and it's much easier to sit.

Another stands just because she figured out she can, and now wants to practice enough that she can make her name in the snow next year.

If I am not at home when I need to pee, I do not sit on any toilets. I kinda stand and bend over - that way I get to pee and not have to sit on a toilet that has germs all over it. That's too gross for me.

I have no real preference I just use whatever is available if there's a urinal I'll that if there's just a toilet I'll use that. If there no bathroom at all I'll just find some secluded corner and go.
