Should a Man Stand or Sit Down when Peeing?

When I recently went to a female friend's new house, with white shaggy pile carpets, we were asked to remove our shoes before entering. It wasn't a problem for me because I prefer to go bare footed in my home. There wasn't a speck of dust anywhere, everything was just perfect. I didn't dare to ask to go to the toilet in case I was supervised, even though I don't make a mess. I think all males are painted with the same brush, what is you're opinion?

I stand. As a guy, it's convenient to just whip it out. I'm just careful not to drip or splatter. I always look at the rim of the bowl when I'm home or at someones house, and use TP to wipe off any that may have landed there.

The only time I sit is at night. The last thing I do before I go to bed is sit and read a couple pages from whatever book I have on top of the tank. I just relax and make sure every last drop drains out so that I won't have to get up at night to pee.

I usually sit to pee. Always sit at home. If a public toilet is dirty or it's a busy bathroom like at a stadium I'll stand/use the urinal, but otherwise I usually sit in public restrooms as well.

They should sit just to be cleaner. Stand in public because it's easier

@Abbycado I didn't go to the toilet. I went in the restaurant like everyone else did previous to going to her new house. At present I've not been supervised, but you never know, it might happen in the future!

I saw some stats on this and I was surprised that a lot of men sit. Culturally it seems an Anglo thing to stand.

In my home I do as I please, I make a point of visiting restaurants, and not people's homes, so the problem never occurs for me. I wanted to hear other people's views, but like you say, nobody would dare tell the truth and put it on line.

Should be a personal choice as to whether a man chooses to sit or stand to pee. Me personally, I stand unless doing #2.
