A happy solution, there are two people sharing an apple, how can it be done so both people are content?

If kids both want 2 last pieces of cake/pie/fruit - this trick makes it super easy on a parent. Fair for both kids always also:

Tell kid 1 he gets to slice the final two pieces in half any way he wants - tell kid two he gets to pick which of the two slices he wants first - kid 1 who sliced them gets the other.

Even if one pieces is corner icing pieces - problem solved. Other pieces is bigger corner icing piece is smaller/tastier. Kid 2 will still get to pick first and because kid 1 did the slice he doesn't have any reason to complain of the outcome as he was the one who chose to outcome for himself.

Well if since they are both lacking what they see and I might be the Apple then let them each get on office and sides and get the licking and Apple only stays as firm as as long as you play with it so if they're having trouble keeping it firm neither will be content.

You can just take a knife and cut the apple in half or cut them into thin apple slices so there's enough for each person.
