It's possible that your legs are sore because you overdid it during your walk. When you engage in physical activity that your body is not used to, it can cause muscle soreness and stiffness, which is known as delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). DOMS typically occurs 24-72 hours after the activity.
To alleviate the soreness, you can try gentle stretching, taking a warm bath, or using over-the-counter pain relievers. It's also important to make sure that you are drinking plenty of water and getting enough rest, as dehydration and fatigue can make muscle soreness worse.
Additionally, if you are new to exercise or have any underlying health conditions, it's important to talk to your doctor before starting a new exercise program to make sure that it is safe for you.
Remember that a little soreness is normal when starting a new exercise routine. However, if the pain is severe or persists for more than a few days, it's important to seek medical attention to rule out any injuries or underlying conditions.
If a young guy like you got sore legs from a two hour walk, you need to start moving a lot more. I work over 40 hours a week in a warehouse, a lot of walking, climbing stairs, and heavy lifting. And I could go outdoors and take a strenuous walk up a long inline on a mountain and be just fine.
If you are on colesterol lowering drugs (stations) they can cause painful leg cramps.
Or your body is just getting used to movement it hasn’t had in a long time.

If you were not used to walking your muscles are just sore. If you are dieting your electrolytes might be out of balance
Yes. If anything when you walk or run for awhile your legs will feel like very tired and achy.
