I’ve had fears when I could have had a permanent injury or physical disability or becoming an amputee and never being the same anymore. I feel like my present life could have been a lot worse than it is now. Also, I missed out on good opportunities. I feel like therapy and counseling won’t help. I feel like there’s no cure for my mental health.
I almost want to commit suicide.

The professional counseling is the best choice for you.
It's normal that in this state you don't believe someone would help or understand you. But you are an adult. You are able to assess situation, not important how much you don't want to use that skill.
Don't wait. Just call, make an appointment and start your journey. In this state, your only hope is in doing not thinking.
Good luck.
If you need to talk... you can always write DM.
Honestly, I wish there was a way that they had a machine that could look into my brain and read my thoughts. By that they’d know what my problems are and help me overcome them. I definitely need a miracle badly.
Unfortunately, miracles need time to happen. And a lot of effort. But they are happening. Give it a chance to come to your life
Still, I feel like therapy can’t help me completely overcome my mental health. I wish there was a way I could completely overcome my troublesome past. I almost feel like I need to put myself under a lie detector test on some things.
You have to start with something. Just thinking about what you want without taking any action... won't help
And therapy can help completely overcome your troublesome past.
Give it a try... You can't lose anything and the gain can be immense.
What will a therapist do to help me?
Hard to say, it depends on the therapist and the school they follow. But in general, therapy helps you understand what happened, understand your own emotions related to what happened, accept facts, mourn (if needed), heal and recover. But a therapist is only a helper, a guide. they can't do things for you
Think also about visiting a doctor, psychiatrist. Probably some medication to sooth your emotions would be useful. But I'm not a doctor, so it's just a suggestion.
If u know your mind is fucked at the moment why would u trust the thoughts that therapy won't help if u know yourself your nlmind can't be trusted
