Am I Pregnant or No?

I am 5 days late on my period, i have had some light spotting but i usually get pretty heavy periods. I took two pregnancy test first one was very clearly negative. second seemed like there could’ve been a faint line? let me know what you think

Hmm that does sound a little ambiguous and worrying. A few things could be going on:

- 5 days late isn't super long yet, so a test may not be sensitive enough to detect anything that early. The hormones have to build up.

- Spotting can sometimes happen in early pregnancy before your period is due. So that's not a definite sign you're not pregnant.

- Were these reliable store-bought tests, or could the line possibly just be an evaporation line? Those sometimes appear after the time limit.

- Stress/changes can disrupt your cycle too though, so it's possible this is just an off month.

I'd say wait a week from when your period was due and take another test, first thing in the morning when the hormones are most concentrated in urine. If it's negative by then, you're probably in the clear. But this limbo sucks! Keep an eye on any other symptoms like sore breasts too. Hopefully your period just shows up late.
