Are E cups breasts the same size as DD or DDD? Is DDD bigger than DD or a fake size?

I sometimes wonder why E cups aren't as well known as DD's aka Double D's are, or where this triple DDD's came from. "in my mind" especially in my 20s, I modernised to E cups, not being another guy to only settle for Double D's. Lol 😆 that's so 2000s. Lol.

Cup sizes are supposed to be based on the difference in inches between the bust and under-bust measurements.

In UK sizing:
1" diff = A
2" = B
3" = C
4" = D
5" = DD
6" = E
7" = F
8" = FF
9" = G
10" = GG
11" = H
12" = HH
and so on.

In US sizing:
1" = A
2" = B
3" = C
4" = D
5" = DD
6" = DDD
7" = F
8" = G
9" = H
10" = I
J, K, L, M and so on.

There is no E in U. S. sizing. DDD would be the U. S. equivalent of E.

Out of curious - bust? Lol as in what's six inches aka for say DDD size. It's the length of breast from top to bottom? Lol 😆 aka melon top to melon stork lol 🍈

It is simply the difference in inches between the bust and under-bust measurements.

Under-bust (rib or band) measurement: Place the tape measure directly below your bust, ensuring it's level and snug. ...
Bust measurement: Wrap the measuring tape loosely around the fullest part of your chest, at nipple level. Round to the nearest whole number.

- Subtract your band size from your bust size.

The multiple "D" thing is definitely a marketing gimmick, but they aren't fake sizes. Women associate D cups as being the most desirable size, so the marketing people for bras decided to play on that perception.
