it has to do with what facilities you have.
you should never bathe in a bath, you should always wash yourself, before a bath. never in a bath.
so you can bathe in a shower or a bath, washing yourself without filling the tub. a bath with a full tub is only to relax and refresh yourself, when you can't wash sweaty parts you can't reach, but have been cleaned but maybe not fully.
