Can you feel when a girl has an IUD?

Im supposed to get an IUD and im wondering if when I finally do it, If my boyfriend will feel it? It’s gonna be non hormonal (took the girlies advice), but I heard a few things like the guys can feel the strings and stuff and

for the girls, when you have an tilted uterus, does that affect the IUD, would it cause it to slip out or something?

I can feel the IUD (Im a guy)

I can’t feel the IUD (im a guy)

Having an tilted uterus doesn’t make a difference (im a girl)

It would make a IUD placement more difficult (Im a girl)

I once had an IUD and it came unloaded from where the doctor placed it and it got lost in my body.
The pain was so severe that when I went to the hospital I was holding onto the bars of the bed, screaming my head off.
I had to have surgery to find it and remove it. Then I couldn't pee afterwards.
It was tragical.

Oh my god, I think I’ll just tell my boyfriend to wear condoms then. That sounds so traumatic. Im sorry you had to go through that. I have a tilted uterus so im already gambling already getting it done

I've been able to feel the strings, but it wasn't a big deal. It certainly didn't impact either of our enjoyment, and I got used to it.

The actual IUD should be positioned where it can't be felt at all. If the guy can feel it, that means it's likely misplaced. I wouldn't worry about it too much. You'll be fine.

I felt it with once girl I fucked.




Apparently I misplaced it and she had to go get it set back in place

Did it stab you? Was it sharp? Or do you just mean the strings? and misplace it like it shifted to side a little bit? Now im getting nervous ugh

Nah, it just felt slimmy and somewhat firm. Felt it a few pumps then I stopped feeling it. Turns out I was hitting a certain angle of her cervix which popped it out then when changing positions it came out and then when I continued I started directly hitting it and I think shoved it into her uterus

IUDs are horrible , the pill is better

Im really bad on hormones. I just took my nexplanon out. And that had no estrogen. The only safe choice my Gyno said now is copper iud

Sometimes they can be painful afterwards too depending on the size
