Girls, What does a speculum feel like at the doctors?

I am a transwoman and intend to get bottom surgery as soon as I can afford it, but until then I have a lot of questions

Its cold and super unpleasent. The worst part is the feeling of vulnarability. That being said you won't have any of the few procedures where this is used for me. Maybe you have some of your own but pap smear nor IUD are procedures you dont have to worry about.

For "normal" gynecologist appointments it's not used or mine never had anyway.

Pap smear, no, but we do have to have a "vault smear" which is quite similar as the tissue us nearly identical... biology is fun.

The Roman's used the velief that a vagina is just an underdeveloped penis to justify their misogyny... now that we can scan brains and such we have discovered that the nerves in the vagina and tissue are nearly identical to the shaft of the male penis, and the nerves and tissue of the clit are nearly identical to those found in the penis head... its fascinating to me how the Roman's were accidentally correct... maybe it wasn't an accident.

And, as far as the other parts, some transwomen do have a cervix (it can be constructed by a good surgeon, and we are only about 5-10 years from being able to perform uterus transplants again (it has already been done in the 1920s)

I mean we develop all from the same type of cell stuff. So it makes sense that DNA only developes what it thinks is right. But I am gonna be honest biology was never my best subject. Although I think I am still above average. But just because I know how bad the average is. 🙈

Go to your kitchen and get your tongs. Lay down, stick those tongs open side first in your special hole and then open them. Pretty well would imitate the feeling.

Sweetie, 2 points... 1 you obviously don't understand the scope or expense of what a gynecologist does... I already see one. Don't act like you know about things that you simply don't when you're talking to someone who is living it, it makes you look silly.
2 don't act like you know the first thing about transgender health-care, you're showing your ignorance and, honestly, it makes you look like a bigot, and I don't think you want that.

In short, how do you kids say it... "stay in your lane"
