One cool thing that I do is when I get a prescription from my pharmacy, if it's a medication that I don't have to take the day I get it (i. e. antibiotics, blood pressure medicine if your b/p is very high, etc.) I wait 4-5 days and then I start taking it.
The reason is that these are reserve pills for "just in case purposes."
My doctor called in a higher dose of one of my prescriptions 4 days ago and my well-known huge pharmacy was out of stock and they said they will call me when they get their shipment. This was my blood pressure medicine AND THEY ARE OUT OF STOCK!! That was 4 days ago and I still don't have my new prescription.
Luckily I still have a small supply of my lower dose blood pressure medicine so I am not completely out.
Also, if you aren't able to get to the pharmacy THAT day, you will still have some medication. This is for refills. Save some from the first time you get the prescription so you'll have some"just in case" pills.

@Grond21 a while back I was broke and living in a car. Had effectively an eye infection. Couldn't see out of my eye it was watering too much and hurt like hell. It wasn't cut, it was abrased.

So I went to the hospital

And you just don't give them a single identify able piece of information. Not an address, not a phone number, imagine they have a room filled with the most curious and suspicious women ever and their job is to figure out who they are (it's not that serious but pretend like it is to be safe)
They'll give you a bracelet, remember that you have no medical history when you do this, it's a good idea to be mindful of that and any treatment deemed "an immediate need" is game. Look it up online to get a soft answer and ultimately so far as I can tell a lot of it is up to the hospital. My eye fell into some kind of Grey area. I went to one in NYC after because I was curious what would happen. They had stronger antibiotics for my eye and more options.

Then I became a licensed asbestos Inspector and repaid my debt to society in the form of taxes and keeping the community safe from asbestos, mold and lead based paint as well as lead in water.

never use "buy now, pay later" cause that's nothing but a insanely expensive little loan. try to avoid debt at any cost UNLESS you're litterally making money of it. like if you use it to finance assets that will pay out more than you lent.

Other than that, business establishment loans will generate more income long term to more than pay of the loan. Rich people rarely have money. Thy always re-invest, taking even more loans so they never pay tax.

That's a good question! Because if it pops out when the tank is full you better catch it - otherwise there would be a lot of people running around the gas ⛽ station running after tennis balls which would cause a hazard of a different kind.

I usually pick my meds up a week to 10 days ahead of time.

You can do that in your country but in America 🇺🇸 we have to wait exactly the day the refill is due, because the insurance companies have to approve each medication and depending on what type of medicine it is we only get a 30 day supply (not 31 on those months). Some medications they will approve a 90 day supply, but we still have to wait until the date the medicine runs out before they will approve more refills.

They are very strict about it in America 🇺🇸. If I called 10 days before my refill is due, they would tell me to call back in 10 days!! Yep!

@sage2021 Here I can get mine about a week ahead. I ended up with about 10 days worth by picking them up a couple of days ahead of time till I was a week or more ahead of them. It must suck to have to wait till the day it expires. What happens if they are out of stock or late getting their shipment in.

That just happened to me. My doctor called in a stronger dose of blood pressure medicine and they were out of stock. I waited 4 days and didn't hear from them. So I called them and like magic they were ready to pick up the next day.
Man, I am so tired of babysitting grown adults that aren't doing their job. They should have called me first and not wait for me to light a fire 🔥 under their arse!
