Who else uses medical marijuana?

I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when I was two years old. I was definitely predisposed to addiction at a young age. I was given my first opiates when I was around 16 years old from what I remember so by the time I was 20 years old addiction had set in and I had become dependent on them. I had realized that it was going to help me get past the pain so I could do the fun things that I wanted to do. On my 21st birthday I decided to stop taking opiates and start using other forms of pain relief like, medical marijuana for my pain relief. I first started smoking, and then I started using topical oil and the topical treatments are really helpful. Might not completely take away the pain but some of the pain or the aches, but it also takes your mind off of it. I’ve been dealing with chronic pain for 33 years. It’s been a long road, but I finally feel like I found the right combination to treat my illness. So who else here uses medical marijuana to help their chronic pain.

Most of my patients are veterans. Many veterans have difficulty sleeping and with other issues, but sleeping is a big problem for them. Up until marijuana was legalized here in California, where I live, many of them drank alcohol to excess. About half of those guys have now stopped drinking alcohol excessively and have now begun using marijuana for sleeping and for relaxation. It has been very beneficial to them, and, best of all, many have stopped drinking excessively, and some have stopped drinking altogether. I call that a win.

fuck yeah that's a win in my book. My brother in law is a vet and he uses weed to cope with his ptsd. it's rough for those men and women really. I know most people think they understand what they have been through but you really don't know until you experience it for yourself. I also feel a lot of people don't understand or appreciate what they sacrifice to be in the army navy Air Force whatever branch it is. its a huge sacrifice and it effects the entire family. Im so happy for them. That's a hell of a WIN!!!

Most of my relatively chronic patients have PTSD and the marijuana helps a lot with their sleeping and to some extent the bad dreams, although not completely. I hear all of their stories, and honestly, I get some vicarious PTSD just from listening to those horrid stories. I absolutely despise war.

Your shift toward topicals is a common trend. many start with smoking, many chronic pain patients eventually transition to non-smoking methods like edibles, tinctures, and topical oils for more sustained relief without respiratory impact.

And if you go to dispensaries together, you have to really be careful because you don't know where they're getting it at 1 point, they try to sell synthetic everything in that department, but then they

found out what chemicals were in all this stuff and they would not allow them to sell it.

So, you should try to get some really good season, grow yourself if possible. If you're allowed to, it would be better than by not knowing who grew up and what chemicals they sprayed on it, because everybody does that with foods and everything else.

ohh I know its way better to grow it at home but I live with my family and I am not able to grow any on this property so I have to buy it so I always buy topicals and dabs supposedly supposed to be healthier on the lungs lol yeah I have a good place and a good connect when I'm not able to get off the island to get any I always buy an ounce at a time and it last me a couple of months so yeah I'm happy with my set up right now and its definitely not synthetic

Yeah, we have dispensaries here. I still haven't been in one yet and we are allowed up to 5 plants per person per household i just\nWanted to see if I could grow it , and I did it very good job of it , but one plant there's so much there sunrise , i'm not going to tell you how much but you can imagine how much 5 plants would put out? Did I give it all away? I might\nTry again this year in spring. I'm not sure yet

I don't use marijuana in any shape or form, so can't relate or offer anything on it. Glad topical works for you though, and is probably better than smoking it. I personally think smoking anything is counterintuitive even if it does stop pain, it's still bad for your lungs. So you probably should stick with topical.

You might also want to try binaural beats. They've helped me with things I've dealt with before. They work.
