Have you ever accidentally swallowed a non-food object and what happened?

A long long time ago, when I was 9 years old, I bowled on Saturday mornings with other 9-10 year olds. One of them bet me a nickel (5 cents) that I couldn't pick the spare I had left. I picked it, and he tossed the nickel into my mouth, which I inadvertently swallowed. I told me parents, who checked with the doctor, and he told us not to worry, it will eventually come out. It did, in poop a few days later, and my father rescued it and cleaned it. I think I spent it because I don't know what happened to it. In hind sight, I should have kept it and added it to my coin collection.

So one of your friends tossed it to you... They couldn't have meant to throw it into you literally; they meant for you to catch it in your hand, but it landed in your mouth, and by the way, nice catch!! And it came out OK!! If you spent the nickel, that was when candy could still cost that. You probably never told the cashier where that nickel had been. Yes, you SHOULD have added it to your coin collection. Your friends probably saw you swallow it. Did they say, "Hey, nice catch!!" or something like that? Glad you picked the spare, and did you win the game? You LITERALLY became a little richer in the process, LOL!!

it was actually a tiny piece of plastic from a straw. I swallowed it by accident and immediately panicked like I had just swallowed something poisonous. I drank water, started overthinking everything, and convinced myself I needed a doctor. Turns out, nothing happened, I was completely fine. Looking back, the panic was definitely worse than the actual incident.

A tiny piece of plastic? That's nothing. I accidentally swallowed pieces of a paper plate that got very moist from greasy foods when we had dinner at a cookout. That was nothing.

Now, did you accidentally swallow a candy wrapper or intentionally? Was it a candy bar wrapper? I once saw a recorded video stream of a girl who intentionally swallowed candy bar wrappers with the candy so she could show people the candy wrappers in her stomach on one of those endoscope cams you can buy at stores that sell those endoscopes. You could partially read some of the wrappers floating atop a liquid in her stomach!! Could you still read the wrapper when it came out?

I, too, accidentally swallowed a chunk of ice. It's painful, but your 98 degree body melts it quickly... It's just water!!

Yes, it was scary for about a minute, but then I realized the ice would melt, and it did, and the chunk went down.

Legos are nothing. Actually, some scientists intentionally swallowed Legos some years ago to see how long it might take for an object to pass. Generally, the Legos came out in a couple of days on average for the scientists.
