From AI:
On RealSelf he has a 4.5 rating (around 98 reviews). Trustpilot listings for his site/clinic sit around 4.5 from 140+ reviews. Many recent reviews specifically mention 360 lipo + BBL (sometimes with extra zones, tummy tuck, or “supercharged” BBL with implants).
Common positives:
• Patients frequently praise natural-looking or desired curves, the coordinator team (names like Canan come up often), 24/7 hotel nurses after hospital discharge, airport transfers, and feeling looked after while traveling alone.
• Several reviews written 3–10+ months later still express satisfaction.
• He is described as listening to goals and being honest about limits (e. g., skinny BBL cases).
Common negatives:
• Unwanted results: some say the BBL came out larger or more “done” than requested, or they have dents, lumps, unevenness, or insufficient projection after swelling settled.
• Serious complications reported on RealSelf and Trustpilot include necrosis (one detailed breast case), fat necrosis lumps, and pain.
• Aftercare disputes: extra charges for revisions, slow responses once patients left Turkey, and pressure to leave positive reviews.
• A few older accounts mention feeling rushed or that wishes were not fully followed.
These platforms have both verified-looking and promotional-style reviews; clinics in this market often encourage or facilitate reviews.
Is it safe in Turkey?
BBL (especially combined with large-volume 360 lipo) carries real risks anywhere: fat embolism (the main life-threatening one if fat is placed in or under muscle), infection, seroma, contour irregularities, and blood clots. Death rates historically ran higher than most other cosmetic procedures; current guidelines emphasize subcutaneous-only fat placement and limiting volume/time under anesthesia. pmc. ncbi. nlm. nih. gov
Turkey has a high volume of these procedures at lower prices, which attracts many patients but also produces a documented pattern of complications and deaths (including among international visitors). Standards vary widely between surgeons and facilities. Voila/Dr. Certel operates through hospitals rather than stand-alone clinics and advertises structured aftercare, which is better than the worst “package” setups, but high caseloads and medical-tourism logistics still add risk compared with a well-regulated home-country practice.
Dr. Certel is a Turkish-trained plastic surgeon with EBOPRAS (European Board) certification and memberships in Turkish plastic surgery societies. That is a legitimate credential, not a guarantee of outcome.
Are there better options?
Yes, depending on your priorities.
• Safest overall: A board-certified plastic surgeon (ABPS in the US, equivalent in UK/EU/Australia/Canada) operating in an accredited hospital or surgical center in your own country. You get easier follow-up, legal recourse, and usually lower complication rates for this high-risk procedure. Cost will be substantially higher.
• If staying in Turkey: Look for ISAPS members, surgeons who publish or present on BBL safety, who operate only in accredited hospitals (not high-volume “clinic + hotel” factories), who limit cases per day, and who have independent long-term reviews (not just Instagram). Ask specifically about their BBL technique (subcutaneous only?), typical fat volumes, and complication rates.
• Avoid choosing based on package price, social-media volume, or “supercharged” marketing alone.
If you proceed anywhere, get in-person or video consultation, full medical clearance, written details of the exact technique and hospital, and a clear plan for complications after you fly home. BBL results also take months to settle as swelling drops and some transferred fat is reabsorbed.
No. everyone I know that had to lose fat, did it by diet and movement. For most, it works. It's just stored energy usually. there may be some unique cases. I dont' like the idea of cutting up someone unless absolutely necessary.
That sounds like a bad idea.
Nope.
lol BBL is the most fatal procedure
