Young men and women in mixed wrestling, who would win?

Lets assume that they are close in weight, with the guy a little bit heavier

Who will win will depend on a lot of factors. The main one being fighting skill. The next is probably strength, then weight, then stamina and finally height. For example a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Judo girl pinned me down without too much trouble even though I was stronger, heavier and taller than her. Pschologically the will to win is important. Often a guy won't go all out against the girl because he doesn't want to be seen as a bully or a groper, and that can let her get an early advantage that he never recovers from. Some guys don't mind getting beaten in private, but will struggle like mad if they are being pinned down in public. Sometimes a girl can use this to her advantage as he won't think straight and will wear himself out. A girl will often find it easier to pin a guy down if she or another girl has already done it once as she will have removed his hang ups about being beaten by a girl when she first pinned him. Of course, some guys like getting beaten by girls and will just give in as soon as the girl gets the upper hand.

In general, the man would win, simply because on average, they are stronger and more muscular. However, if the girl was skilled with how to place her body, she might win, as leverage is very important in wrestling. And a few girls are stronger than the average guy.

In a fair fight the man would win, but in a life and death struggle I would bet on the woman. She has more stamina and will kick and scratch like crazy, eventually hurting the guy in his manly parts.

Women are often far more technical due To that they are often smaller and not as strong. And often have to learn by training against bigger men.

So it depends on how techncal and strong they are.

I did judo when I was younger, and at 16, I often got matched with a 24 year old woman at my club because we were basically the same height and weight. She beat me every time.

I always thought that I was able to beat most women at wrestling until I was beaten by a 15 year old girl who works out wifh weights and I learned a lot from the experience
