Let him decide if he can do it. If he knows his limits and knows when to stop if he hurts himself I don't see any problem with it. I think that's too much weight to get rowdy and crazy though, so he'd have to be careful.
I'm older and can't do it any more, but back when I did construction work I'd throw 150-160 pounds of roofing shingles over my shoulder and climb up a ladder onto a roof. I only weighed 140-150 pounds then and I could do it several trips in a row. Everyone I worked with could do the same thing.
It really depends on how good of shape he's in, and the type of muscles he's used to using. If he's out of shape and doesn't normally use those particular muscles, then he could hurt himself.

If he wants to try, let him. At his height and weight it might not be that difficult. Does he work out?
I'm 5'4 and am 108 lbs...I don't think my boyfriend (6'5, 175 lbs) could lift me if I were 168...just being honest.
