Would it creep you out or make you uncomfortable if someone that you barely know told you that you gave them inspiration for a novel?

Like, you barely know them, but they tell you that you said something that gave them an idea that helped them overcome writer's block for a novel they've been brainstorming the plot for many years.

Why would that bug me? I'd be thrilled!! I already had a guy from Hollywood tell me he'd like to do a story on the life & times of my band! Others have said they think I should write a book about my life and that it'd make a great movie.

I don't think it would make me uncomfortable, but I would be curious about what about me had inspired them.
Was I inspiration for the sexy leading man or the creepy ax murderer? LOL

Not if it's just an idea that I somehow gave them, but I would find it low key little creepy if the person did a whole new character based on me while not even knowing me

Removing the inspirations others have given to others would just about erase nearly every song that's heard today and yesterday and most likely apply to novels too.
