Resemblances such as appearance, same name, and personality. Would it be even better or a requirement if the other main character in the novel reminded you of yourself? Do you think that you could use novels like that to take your mind off of times when you feel rejected by your crush/partner?
Absolutely, without a fraction of a doubt. Books have always and more than likely will always be an escape for me. It doesn't matter what I'm going through. Having a novel so closely resemble the person in my life or the events in which my life has been through is very therapeutic and has helped me make sense of/accept things that I otherwise couldn't. Like the book "Years" by LaVyrle Spencer. I've read that book probably over 20 times and it never gets old at all.

Im not big on reading but yes i used to write stuff and base the characters on my crushes/exes/situations. I love watching tv shows that reminds me of stuff like that. Feels more relatable

Never thought about this before... I guess it would make me smile if nothing else. But let's say if I have a crush on someone and he says he doesn't feel the same way then I'd definitely avoid reading books that reminds me of him because I'd rather move on.
Nope I don't live in a fantasy world and rather in real life. I either go get my crush or move on.
Sometimes I always thought of myself of witty Gil Grissom when I read some of the CSI novels.
Depending on the novel yeah!! Hugely!
