+1 yI know how to ride both a bicycle and a motorbike. I don't ride a motorbike anymore, but I had a British bike when I was 20 exactly the same as pictured below. I have a Kona Hahanna - Race Light, Mountain bike, it weighs about 23 lbs

Essentially my bike, I can carry it across beaver dams with one hand.

Nice 90s era Kona. I remember those. I always wanted a Kona back in the day when I was a teen, but I couldn't afford one. I've never been into motorcycling, but my dad had a 1970 Triumph Bonneville 500 and a 1970 Triumph Daytona 500.

+1 yYes but the taller the bicycle, the less balance i have. I like a lowrider/cruiser. Aside from gym cycling, i haven't rode a bike/hybrid since like 6th grade/2006. But here we learned how to ride a bike around age 5. It just got more difficult as we aged up and were given taller bikes (mountain bikes)

Yeah like where you pop the front tire up and I fall off the back
+1 yAre you serious right now! U am born in the 80's, of course i know, standing and no hands, one wheel. My bike was red, i adjusted the breaks to hit hard at the spot and get that dust flying all over the place. I have 2 bikes now, i use them under the summer mostly.

+1 yWhen I was learning how to ride a bike when I was younger I crashed into my gate because of how fast I was going. It’s easy for me now since I’m older. Now I wanna learn how to ride a fixie. It seemed to be popular when I was in high school

Nah! "It's just like riding a bike." 😉 An older friend of mine hadn't ridden a bike for over 45 years. I was with him for his first ride, and he was riding again on his very first try by the time he got to the end of the street. lol Just give it a go! It's great fun and exercise. 👍
Yes. I learned kind of late; I tried it when I was about 5 and fell and my Dad laughed at me which made me so pissed I gave up and I didn't learn until I was 10.
10 ReplyAll my life, but I prefer one with an engine. Preferably a v-twin...

My whole childhood. I was told to look at athletic scholarships not because i wasn't talented enough but because i was too skinny, and they said no college would give a scholarship to someone to small to play.
Well i just graduated on an athletic scholarship.
I was denied all the way up till i drove to a showcase my senior year and a college saw me and offered me a scholarship.
I refused to give up
Yes, I still ride a lot.

@msputiton Just do a Google image search for "Netherlands bicycles" and you'll understand his "I'm Dutch" statement right away. lol They ride like a mofo there, rain or shine. In many urban areas of the Netherlands, bike ridership is higher than car ridership. I used to ride 10,000 kms/6,000 miles per year, but I haven't ridden much over the last 5-6 years. I'm looking forward to getting back into it a lot more this year.
